I believe I found the problematic plugin that was causing the issue. How a video SEO plugin could conflict, I don’t know, but that’s technology for you.
Also, thanks for making the Color Sections collapsible. It really helps.
Thanks!
This CSS worked perfectly.
Thank you!
Thank you!
That worked.
Thank you, Mike!
Thanks. I hope that functionality can be added.
Problem solved.
Theme had to be re-enabled and cache had to be emptied.
Thanks
Fixed!
I had not properly cleared All History. When I repeated the steps above, it fixed the problem. I also restarted Safari for good measure after I repeated your instructions. For the record, I am on a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)
Big Sur 11.5.2
Safari Version 14.1.2 (16611.3.10.1.6)Thanks for your great (and patient) support!
And Mike, if you can give me those step-by-step again as separate lines or bullets, that would be great. I was extremely careful, but not sure if I missed something.
Thank you
Excellent advice! I did it all, but no luck.
I’ve done a screenshot of one of the pages (private content – Dropbox link). You’ll notice the top of the page is properly aligned, but after the book image/audio file section, the next color sections are skewed to the left. I am using 1/5-3/5-1/5 columns in each color section to create the layout. I really appreciate your help and I am baffled.
Thanks
HI Mike,
I’m seeing it in Safari on my Mac. I keep my operating system and all software up to date at all times. I cannot see a way to send you a screenshot. Glad you aren’t seeing it in Windows/Chrome–and I’m not seeing it in Chrome on my Mac! I guess it’s a Safari thing. How very strange. Any suggestions? I don’t see a way to send you a screen shot. Thanks
Thank you!
Thanks, Mike. That worked perfectly.
I fixed it by adjusting line height for H1 in Advanced Styling.
Enfold is awesome, and if you just keep updating it, this theme will have a very long life. The improvement I’d like to see is a re-working of ENFOLD > General Styling. Customizing anything in this area is a guessing game. For example, how would I change the background color of a search box? Only trial-and-error will tell, if you have that much time. Also, we all need better burger menus for mobile. A little work here would go a long way.
Keep up the good work! It’s a great theme.
Thank you, Rikard. Very helpful! Sorry for the belated reply.
The issue was solved. Please see my last comment.
Thanks!
You were right, Victoria. I needed to install and configure the social graph stuff in All-in-one-SEO pack Pro, to configure the Open Graph protocols. Apparently FB insists on it (I ran their debug routine). So much for artificial intelligence. Seems like I have to tell Google, FB, Twitter, etc. 6 different ways what my featured image is on a post. Crazy.
I appreciate your help. I never would have guessed.
I’m using All-in-one-SEO pack Pro. I will look for a similar preference there. Thanks
Hi Victoria,
I’ve got everything working fine now. Not sure what changed, but I was also mucking around in WP Security, and may have found something there that was blocking things. Too many preferences to keep track of!
Thanks for your help.
Caches are now successfully cleared. The problem persists.
Thanks
Thank you, I deleted that plugin now. Caches are off. Interestingly, I cannot purge the caches, as I’m getting an error: “500
Internal Server Error – An internal server error has occurred.”Not sure what that might mean or how to fix it. In any case, my menu problem persists.
Fixed!
The problem ended up being a Safari preference I had inadvertently set. My site was set to 75% page zoom, and this threw off certain elements. When I put it back to 100%, the problem disappeared. Not sure how to even set such a preference, but anyway, it’s fixed.
Thank you
I cannot seem to attach the image to this post (feeling stupid). Can you tell me how to attach a png?
Thanks
Yes, you can close it. Thanks again.
Yes, thank you. That fixed my problem.
Thanks!
Hi Rikard (and Team Kriesi),
Using the top option (multi-author) instead of the custom page option restored the page. I don’t think I understand why, but that’s OK!
Thanks for your help,
Jeff
Update: the blog page is now updating, and I’m not getting the error message (no particular reason that I can see). However, my custom layout is not displaying. Instead, I’m getting some kind of a list view.
ThanksProblem solved, but not sure why. I disabled one security setting in a plugin:
Completely Block Access To XMLRPC:Now working fine.
