Yes this also works!
May be it’s even better than my ## solution because you don’t have the annoying Statusline with the ##-link in desktop mode. :-)For me it works if i use ## instead of #
It’s only in the first menulevel, for subsubmenus it is not needed (but i added it also because then on each menuitem the mouse shows the same hover icon (link hand)).
I testet it on android with firefox and chrome als well as on desktop.
