I am also having big issues with slow loading on a client website since going to version 5 of the theme.
I have tried many things to resolve it but still no change.

Hosting is set at maximum performance, and have tried different optimising plugins but nothing is helping.
Today I tried changing the CSS compression settings in Performance tab, but again no change.

The client is very upset and cannot run ads at the moment because the site takes almost a minute to load the home page. It is a simple 10 page site, no shop, just for a services business.
Can you help please?
