    Hi there,

You can simply download the latest version from ThemeForest and install it via FTP with no loss of work. There is not, to the best of my knowledge, an automatic update available via the Dashboard.

    Works perfectly ! Thanks Josue.

I(ll add the social icons and holler if I need any further help.

EDIT: The default option from the Theme Options panel took care of the social icons question Josue; you can go ahead and close this thread now :-)

    Thanks for the great support!

    Hi Yigit,

Thanks for that; it worked, although I’m still mystified as to why the problem arises.

    You can close this now.

    Hi Dude,

I think you missed the “elephant in the room” ! Have a look at this screenshot and you can see the issue.

It is that the Icon List is forcing the text block down.

    Hi fuenos,

This is a MAJOR task you are thinking about and not something you can “knock together” with a theme and a plugin.

Before you start building anything you need to write a full functional specification ! What exactly does it need to do ? I suspect you are trying to build an online business offering a home sale/ home finder service, probably fully automated if you want them to upload photos and details.

This is a major portal you are talking about; you aren’t gonna do it with a theme and a plugin.

    Hi Guys,

I’ve added some body text to the icon list HERE to show you what I mean concerning the alignment problem.

    Thanks,

in reply to: An Icon Inline with Main Menu Text #269686

    Hi mndawood,

If you are referring to adding an icon or image to the main menu links, you might find this article useful.

    I hope that helps,

in reply to: Setting form field alignment #267334

    Hi Checkmarc,

I think Flikk may have misunderstood but, like me, he’s a participant so we can be “forgiven” :-)

My contribution is simply to say that, having built many many complex or lengthy forms myself, you really might want to check out the Mach Forms plugin for this and other forms.

In my experience, a long blank for can be intimidating for a candidate and if the form does not look “super professional” then potential applicants may see this as an adverse reflection on what you are going to do with the info.

Mach Forms allows you to use conditional logic as well as split the form into pages. Infinitely and easily customisable, if data collection is key to your business it may be the best $39 you’ll ever spend (other than the Enfold theme of course) :-)

    I hope this helps,

    regards

    Hi there,

It’s often the case that plugins cause conflicts within the theme. A simple solution can often be to disable the plugin whilst you create your content in Page Builder and then Activate the plugin when you’ve done editing.

It may not be a perfect solution but no theme author can support all of the 26,000 plugins currently in the WordPress repository. If the plugin is a premium plugin you have paid for, the plugin author should provide the support you need; if the plugin is free with little or no support, you are probably gonna have to “bite the bullet” and pay for some freelance help.

    Hi there,

As a suggestion, go to your Enfold Options panel and simply hit Save All Changes ! If you are using a cache plugin don’t forget to clear the cache and clear your browser cache when viewing the page.

in reply to: Page navigation in sidebar #266819

    Hi Jan,

If you look under Appearance>Widgets you see a widget called Pages. If you just drag this into the appropriate Sidebar it will list all the pages in your menu.

Alternatively, under Appearance>Menus you can create a new menu and add only the pages you want, perhaps for a “family” of pages. You can then use the Custom Menu widget in exactly the same way; once you drag it into a sidebar it will offer you a drop down list of available menus to choose from.

    I hope this helps,

    regards

    Hi there,

I would suggest you use the All-In-One SEO plugin by Yoast. It enables you to easily optimise every page, individually, and is pretty much acknowledged as one of the best tools in the industry.

    I hope this helps,

in reply to: Possible to change view source Theme:name? #249694

    Hi there,

I would download the child theme and open up the zip file. Open the style.css file and here you can change the name of the theme (Custom, My Theme) or whatever you like, as well as the description.

Do not change the name of the parent, Enfold, otherwise the child theme will not find the parent. You can also change the screenshot.png if you want to. Save these files and rename the folder to match the new name you are using.

You can now either re-zip the folder and install it as a new theme via WP or simply FTP it into your Themes folder.

After installing and activating the theme you can simply use the the Settings>Import/Export section and Import the Parent Theme Settings.

Then you should be good to go. The parent theme and settings remain untouched, so you risk nothing by trying this out for yourself.

    I hope that helps,

    AndrewJ

in reply to: Possible to change view source Theme:name? #249656

    Hi there,

The easiest way to use a custom name for your theme is to use a Child Theme. You can read more about this and download a starter Child Theme at http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/ .

You can rename your child theme to anything you like, provided you don’t change the link to the Parent Theme.

    I hope this helps,

in reply to: UberMenu Integration #249651

    Hi idealmm!

The short answer to your question is that UberMenu isn’t included in the theme; the theme includes an excellent but different MegaMenu facility.

The link from Devin covers the integration of UberMenu if you buy it separately and want to use it with the theme. In most cases, it works “out of the box”.

in reply to: Parallax Slider Effect on Homepage #248881

    Hi Mattmorse,

The only “parallax” effect possible within LS is that slight wiggle; not true parallax as we all understand it to be. Don’t waste any time exploring an LS solution any further; I probably wasted enough time for all of us. :-(

I purchased Layer Slider specifically for the “parallax effects” so I was pretty disappointed.

WHY do people bump after 12 Hrs? This is a support forum, not a personal (unpaid) Tech Support resource for free customization!

    Just asking!

    Hi Yigit,

Thanks for the quick reply. I now see it’s working fine on the actual devices; I put too much faith in device emulators.

    regards
