Ooooooo – it just started working!! MASSIVE thank you for looking into this, really appreciate your support! :) :)
Hello again,
unfortunately after today update of all plugins (mostly WPML addons) and theme, the problem shows up again. Currently I don’t know how to solve it – on Polish version of site none of symbols are displayed properly – while English one works fine.
PL: lumifall.pl
EN: lumifall.comI am trying to dig trough string translations – but I don’t know if it can help.
In the meantime, thank you so much for your attention and participation.
Well it seems that the update of one of plugins made this problem, I have just restored previous version of the plugins from the backup and the problem disappeared. Now I need to check one-by-one which plugin was responsible for that change – I assume one of WPML.

LeszekHello Ismael,
thank you for the update on my topic, now I think the problem is solved, but please give some time to have an eye on this :)

LeszekHi Andy,
I did check it. Deactivating Custom CSS plugin and moving all my own css code into Quick CSS inside Enfold theme did not work out. Moreover the page itself displays differently, has a different aligning of top menu and the also the width has changed.
And of course :( the font settings are still disappear after saving. So I am returning to the previous (basic) stage with own css code inside Custom CSS plugin.BR
LeszekHello Rikard,
indeed there were two instances of Enfold, but a minute ago I have deleted the old one, leaving only the newest one (3.3.2). During the day, in the free time, I will move my custom CSS into Quick CSS inside Enfold theme and will deactivate Custom CSS plugin. And of course after that, I will share all my findings.

LeszekDear Kriesi Team,
here comes small update regarding my problem. Yesterday I decided to double check everything once again, plugin by plugin and I have decided to manually update WPML to the newest available version – 3.2.6, after that I have also updated all plugins related to WPML and the problem disappeared. Right now, starting from last evening, everything is running properly, so I am really confused about the real reason of such strange behaviour of my site.
Sorry for bothering you with it and thank you for your support. I think we can close the topic.
Regards,
LeszekHello Ismail,
I don’t know if it’s something you have been asking for – but here it comes:

LeszekHello Rikard,
thanks for your reply. Yesterday I decided to make a “manual installation” of your newest theme in separate folder. Since I am using child theme, I just wanted to check if this will work. After installation I have renamed these folders, current and working folder I have changed to “enfold-x” and new one into “enfold”. The reaction was immediately, the Polish page (accessed from *.pl domain) stops responding and gateway error shows up again. After the restoration of the previous state by re-renaming directories – all works fine.

LeszekHi Ismail,
yes, this is shared hosting. I will ask them to provide such report.

LeszekHello again,
so I did restore my webpage from backup and it’s running well. After that, I have also updated all the plugins and the page (in both languages accessed from different domains) is still alive. I didn’t update the theme, I am still using 3.2.1 because I know it will crash it again. But I did discover another disturbing element – I can’t save font settings. But for this case I will start a new thread.
Regards,
LeszekHello Rikard,
thanks for your reply, I will restore it once again – but I am afraid I can’t update your template. I will let you know soon.

LeszekHi again,
unfortunately I am returning, richer in new information. I did restore fully working backup from yesterday morning and I did update plugins one by one – I did update almost all of them and both version of my webpage worked fine. Eventually I did update Enfold theme to the newest 3.3.1 and the problem returned like a boomerang. And right now I am 100% sure that the problem with Gateway timeout error is caused by the update of theme.
I am just curious why it affected only to my site?
I will appreciate your help with this situation.
PS. Should I restore it once again or it’s better to leave it as it is (damaged)?

LeszekHello again,
it seems the problem is not related to the theme, when I was trying to resolve it on my own, I have discovered that changing “Language URL format” in WPML settings to “Language name added as a parameter” instead of “A different domain per language” solves the problem, both languages are working fine. It’s good to know at least where the problem is, but it helps only temporary, because I prefer second solution which doesn’t work.
This way or another, maybe some of you had similar problem and could share a bit of his/her experience.
Thank you and best regards.

LeszekHello Josue,
after swapping the comments.php file it worked … with some buts. If I wanted only Polish version it would be easy to achieve using my custom php code. But the problem appears with English version and translation via WPML string translations. It finds only first encountered string ‘replies’ so I can’t use different translations of it depending on the value.
The best would be to have two different comments.php files, one for each language – is it possible to redirect it somehow?
Thanks and regards,
LeszekHi Ismail,
Sorry it took so long, but I was focused on filling the site with content and new images. So only today I managed to find some time to check it again.
I have made all the changes in the copy of comments.php file, which I have placed in child directory, but it seems the ‘page’ is still using original file located in enfold folder not the one from enfold-child.
Do I need to edit the original file?
Thanks and regads,
LeszekHi Ismael,
thanks for your reply. Here comes temporary links to my webpage:
EN: http://wp.lumifall.com
PL: http://wp.lumifall.plI would like to translate the inscriptions review/reviews, comment/comments and reply/replies which are displayed on following pages:
– review(s) tab on products (woocommerce) | example: http://wp.lumifall.com/products/led-surface-mounted-luminaires/cilindroled-ii/
– reply/replies on news (posts) and project (portfolio) page | example: http://wp.lumifall.com/happy-easter-2015/ & http://wp.lumifall.com/projects/single-family-house/
– comment/comments displayed on the bottom of page in Post Slider, next to the date of post | example: http://wp.lumifall.com/santoled-175-multi/Could you please advise whether the code is valid? I think it will need some modifications for each specific subject listed above.
Thanks and all the best.
LeszekDear Rikard,
subject is solved now. Shame on me! But I just didn’t expect the solution might be so easy. I have just changed the name of languages in WPML setup: Site Languages and Edit Languages – and issue closed :)
Sorry for bothering you with such lame thing.
BR
LeszekHi Rikard,
thanks for your prompt reply, I’ve already found and tested this solution. In fact – flags disappeared, but now I am not able to switch between languages because in the place where flags were, nothing shows up.
The reason of my post was that I am not able to set the switcher to the simplest version – all I need are just tags EN and PL. No flags, no full words.
I will be grateful for any help you can provide.
Best regards,

April 8, 2015 at 8:44 am in reply to: Breadcrumbs aligning issue – normal page vs product page #425130Hi Elliott,
thank you very much for your reply – indeed it seems like a custom CSS problem, because if I remove a part of custom CSS code, everything is displaying properly, my apologies for bothering you.
Here comes a link to my still temporary website: http://wp.lumifall.pl, if you could take a look and check what went wrong it would be great. During the day I will also try to check my modifications to find out the problem.
Thanks and regards,
