It’s better, but it’s not yet properly aligned because the parent menu items are not the same width. Do you have another idea?

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. Your screenshot is what I see on my computer. However, I would like the word “Infos Mariage” to be aligned with the word “Mariage”. I’m seeing that on every browser (mozilla, safari…). It’s on the site’s main menu (which can be seen on every page of the site).
When you move the mouse over the word “Mariage” on the menu, the sub-menu that appears is not aligned vertically with the word “Mariage”. The problem is the same for the “Séances photo” menu.I’d like the sub-menus to be aligned below the parent menu. Is that clearer?

Thanks for your feedback. I added the caption shortcode to display a text rotator over the video.
After several tries, I may have found a solution to my problems. If I upload a very short mp4 video directly to the site, it seems to work on all browsers. My client will therefore prepare a short video that we can test in the background.

Hi,
The background video in your demo page does not work on chrome (it never starts). And it struggles to load on safari (you have to refresh the page 1 or 2 times for the video to start). My internet connection is excellent and I have fiber. Something that only works on mozilla is not an option for me..
I love the enfold theme, I use it very often for my projects and I will continue to do so. But I’m still disappointed that I couldn’t do what I wanted for this site..
I hope one day you find a solution for the video to work on all browsers

Thank you for your message. I added the code. But the problem persists. I have to reload the page on mozilla and safari for the video to start, and on chrome the video does not work at all. Any other idea please ?

It is a muted video. It is not on the home page. It is on the page whose title is “Home test”. I will only put the video back on the homepage when I have found a solution to my problems.
Could you take a look why the video does not play at all on chrome? and why do you have to reload the page so that it launches on safari and mozilla?

I’m a little desperate because I thought I could put a video in the background on the home page, but it doesn’t work. On Chrome, the video never starts, even if you refresh the page several times. On Mozilla and Safari, the video only loads after refreshing the page (there is black background when we arrive on the site before refresh).
I sadly had to remove the video from the home page and put a slideshow instead but as my client is a videographer, I would like to find a solution to be able to put his video in the background. I created a test page with the video (“test accueil”).Could you help me to find where the problem comes from ?

Thank you for the solution you offer. Unfortunately, the page must be reloaded so that the columns are displayed in 2 columns, this is not done automatically when resizing the window. I found another solution: I put the blog in 2 columns whatever the size of the screen. In archive.php I changed the default column number.

I tried the code. It works but since I have a problem on the home page ! The photo in the background jumps when you arrive on the site ! It didn’t do it before… I deleted the code added in function but the problem persists on the home page… Did you touch anything that would have caused this problem ? can you help me to solve it please?

Finally I found a solution. I put the video on vimeo, putting a black rectangle as a cover. This way when you arrive on the site, you see a black background for 1 second and then the video fades in. It’s not bad like that!

Another solution maybe… I read that it was possible to add “modestbranding=1” to the youtube url, to make the logo disappear. How can I try this please ? I am desperately looking for a solution to be able to put my video in full background…

I tried with a vimeo link but unfortunately it’s not better than youtube: the video does not load immediately. We see a photo for a second and then the video starts.
Wouldn’t it be possible to zoom in on the video, so that the logo and the name of the video are out of view ? As they are placed on the edges of the video, maybe there is a way to hide them?Thank’s in advance,

It’s really a shame that youtube won’t let their logo be removed.. I’ll try to put the video on vimeo to see if it’s the same.
Regarding the possibility of putting a self-hosted video, this will not affect the performance of the site ? as the video is heavy..

The name and logo only appear on certain screen sizes. On the big screen there is no problem indeed. I made a video capture from a small screen to show you. I put the google drive link in private content.

Thank you very much. Your solution would be perfect if it also worked when the window is resized. It bothers me that we have to refresh the page for this to work. But thank’s anyway.
Is it possible to adapt Ismael’s code so that it works for screens below 1200px ? This means placing the title, price, add to cart button and description below the image, just like on the mobile version.

Indeed, it works fine on the checkout page. But on the cart page, when I enter my address to calculate the shipping costs, there is still the flat rate shipping that appears. It’s only if I refresh the page that it disappears. Could you verify in private browsing (so that your address is not already indicated in the calculator of the delivery costs) ?

I tried adding the code in child theme functions.php file (with Filezilla by FTP), but it doesn’t change anything at all. The flat rate shipping is still offered when the free shipping option is available :(
