It turns out I didn’t actually want a square image. I wanted the Portfolio image size which isn’t exactly square. I selected the Portfolio image size and the problem was still there. Then I realized that the images that were the wrong aspect ratio were all low resolution so the Portfolio image size was never generated for them. Somehow it wasn’t a problem before. I just replaced them with higher-res images and the problem is fixed.
March 12, 2014 at 5:04 am in reply to: Quicksand and Droid Sans not displaying after 2.6 update #236079The problem was fixed when I updated to v2.6.1 without doing anything with the layerslider. The Google fonts were not being loaded in the header in 2.6 but they are now.
<!-- google webfont font replacement --> <link id="google_webfont_1" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Quicksand" />
etc wasn’t in the page source in version 2.6
I would really love it if clicking on the portfolio category sort buttons loaded additional portfolio items in the category. At my site http://www.kylegilman.net/ I have nine of the most recent portfolio items displayed on the home page. If you click on “Features” only the one feature film in the last nine projects is displayed, which makes it look like I’ve only edited one feature.
I’ve seen in other posts that this doesn’t seem to be a planned feature because it may be too difficult to do an additional query on portfolio items, but could it be possible to load up additional portfolio items and keep them hidden like this theme does: http://themeforest.net/item/dandelion-powerful-elegant-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/136628
Oh! And I would also like to request a YouTube icon option for the header.
