Hi Nikko
The important thing is that other people can write comments without problems – and they will of course be using other email addresses, so we will just leave it at that :)
Thanks for your patience :)
Best regards,
– UllaHi Nikko
I had my co-admin test it, and she gets the same results as I do: with admin email the comment needs to be approved – with any other email no approval is required.Best regards,
– UllaYes, it is weird. I found out that it’s only if I apply my admin email that the comment requires approval. If I apply a different emal, no approval is required. I will ask someone else to test, and will get back to you soon.
Hi Nikko
Thanks for all your help and testing! It seems to be working here after I unchecked the boxes to fill in name and email. When I write a comment without filling in those boxes everything is fine, but if I fill in my name and email, my comment requires approval – strange! However, I can live with that :)
Again, thanks for all your help!
Best regards,
– UllaHi
I have now added you as a user with admin rights – details in private section. Thanks, Nikko
I have created a temporary user for you – link is in the private content section.Hi Nikko
That is exactly what I have done – but it makes no difference.I did set it in Settings > Discussion. That’s why I’m wondering. I will take a look at the links you provided – hoping to find a solution.
Hi again, and thanks for keeping this thread open.
I have tested again and had someone else testing as well, and we both get notified that the comment has to be approved.Ehm – I am not sure what happened. When I tested, it said, both in front end and in WP admin control panel, that the comment was awaiting approval. But I can see now, that your test comment is fine and not requiring approval. All is good – thank you for testing :)
Well – a new issue appeared: I wrote a comment to test the settings, and the comment now requires approval. I had removed that setting earlier but now I don’t remember how I did it!
Thanks for your help, it worked!
