Thanks.
Kirk
Wait, I don’t have the code you mention above. I have this:
if( strpos($responsive, ‘responsive’) !== false ) echo ‘<meta name=”viewport” content=”width=device-width, initial-scale=1, user-scalable=1″>’;
Kirk
Thanks!
Kirk
I don’t want to disable the sidebar. Something is happening when I empty the Displayed Everywhere sidebar causing default widgets to display on my front page. I want the front page to display widgets; and I assume those are the ones in the Sidebar Pages section of Appearance > Widgets.
Kirk
Great, thanks. Exactly what I wanted.
Kirk
But I don’t want breadcrumbs in the header for my blog, just for the forum.
Kirk
Well, just think either a line of text, or a graphic, above the Search box (which I’d ideally want to figure out how to move…), but below my header, with the name of the forum.
Kirk
I’ve just set up a forum on my website, and since I have breadcrumbs off for the site, and want them on for the forum, I tried the code you supplied above, but the breadcrumbs aren’t displaying in the forum:

Any ideas?
Thanks,

Before I upgraded, I had a menu there, which I set up with WP’s menu settings, which listed my categories, to the left of the search icon. After upgrading to 2.8.1, that menu doesn’t display, but a list of pages displays. I’ve got that off now, but how do I get the main menu (the one with categories) back? In the Menus settings, that menu is set up as Enfold Main Menu. I’ve got the Enfold header settings as Logo left, menu right, but that menu is not displaying.
Thanks,
Kirk
Update: Never mind; it came back. I don’t know why, but after reloading a few times, it showed up. Thanks.

Are we talking about the same thing? I want to remove the links to pages in the header (I don’t know why that’s not an option, because one can have a number of pages that one doesn’t want to show up). The code you show above doesn’t do anything to those links in the header.

And, back to my initial question:
I’m messing around with creating a main page for my blog using the Avia Layout Builder. I have images for many of my posts, but not all. I want to use the Fullwidth Masonry element, but no images display. When this talks about preview images, does that mean the featured images that one can choose to add to posts? Will it not pick up inline images if they’re not manually set as featured images? And, if not, is there any way to somehow automate the process of setting featured images for older posts?
The update hasn’t changed anything; I still don’t see images with these elements.
Kirk
Okay, I’ve updated, and now I’m trying to fix all the things the update broke. It didn’t kill my site as the 2.6 update did.
I’d like to not display pages in the header, but display the search icon. I found some code in a thread that removes everything on that line; how to I just remove the pages, and not the search icon?
Thanks
Yeah, there’s that. A few updates ago, the theme broke my website, and I haven’t had time to figure out why, so I had to revert to whatever the previous version was.
That displays on the desktop version as well. I want to _only_ have the graphic show up on the mobile version…
October 22, 2013 at 1:53 pm in reply to: Help! My sidebar has moved to the bottom of my page #179067Okay, upgrading the theme fixed it. Any idea why? Was there a bug in the sidebar code in the previous version? And why it only showed up today? Very strange…
October 22, 2013 at 1:43 pm in reply to: Help! My sidebar has moved to the bottom of my page #179064I deactivated all my plugins; that didn’t fix the problem. I’ll update to the latest Enfold, but I don’t understand how this happened overnight, with nothing changed that I’m aware of. Again, could a change of something like my host’s PHP version be causing this problem?
Still no change.
That doesn’t make any difference.
August 13, 2013 at 2:12 pm in reply to: Twitter RSS widget: Twitter follower count doesn't update #134369That didn’t change anything. Still no follower count. I’m not seeing the error message any more though.
August 13, 2013 at 9:35 am in reply to: Twitter RSS widget: Twitter follower count doesn't update #134367Actually, it seems to have just broken for me. As I write this, I went to Appearance > Widgets and opened the widget, then clicked Save to see if it would update (because it’s not upadating on its own). When I loaded my blog, I saw this repeated hundreds of times in my sidebar.
Warning: simplexml_load_string() [function.simplexml-load-string]: Entity: line 45: parser error : xmlParseEntityRef: no name in /homepages/21/d298587496/htdocs/kirk/wordpress/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/class-framework-widgets.php on line 651
Then, when I reloaded, the widget loaded correctly, but doesn’t show any number next to the Twitter icon. Here’s my site:
August 12, 2013 at 8:56 am in reply to: Twitter RSS widget: Twitter follower count doesn't update #134364Okay, thanks. I like having the Twitter and RSS icons together, as they’re the most important for me.
But you say you removed it in 1.9.1; I just bought the theme last week, and that’s the version I have, and that widget is there…
Do you mean the place where it says Add Preview Images? I’ve tried, and they don’t display.
It is now, because I keep changing it back. But at times, I make changes, notice the font is different, then look at the Styling pane and see that it is. I’ll add the CSS though to be sure. Thanks.
August 9, 2013 at 8:19 am in reply to: I don't see an Edit link in the post meta line; how do I add one? #133968Thanks!
I added the above CSS, and the featured images (or, in my case, placeholders) are still showing.
Here’s the page I want to use; I’ve set up galleries for now:
The text is there for new, because I can’t get the images to link to their pages.
