Thanks; here’s what happened. I put in the snippet and still did not work; deactivated the plug in, still did not work; then thought of trying different browser. Was using Chrome. Used Firefox. With snippet, Firefox worked, without snippet, Firefox did not work. So, it’s something in Chrome. Any ideas?
Also, on another note, if you look at openmindcouseling.com/blog/ you’l see the posts are listed without any text or images; but, if you scroll down you’ll see some that do have images and text. I’m not sure which I like better, but I don’t know what the difference is; I don’t know what to do to make either images and text show up or not show up. Any suggestions on that one?
That worked; Thanks…You can close out this thread.
I posted this on another thread as well; my problem was W3 Total Cache and Brute Force Log In Protection plugins. Disable those two, at least, before updating to WP 4.7.
My hosting service was able to fix the problem, which was W3 Total Cache, and Brute Force Protection plug ins. Recommended to disable those prior any update to 4.7
I will contact them and see what they can do. But, that 500 internal server error showed up when I changed the name on the W3 Cache plug in as suggested by a previous poster. After I returned to the original name, the server error disappeared and was again left with what I started this thread with, a blank page upon going to the log in page. So, I go to log in at …../wp-admin, and get this url, with a blank page:
http://khfenterprisesinc.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F
I went to the W3 Total Cache plug in folder at my C panel. Changed the name. Tried then to log in, and get this message:
W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/openmi6/public_html/khfenterprisesinc.com/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. After installing WP 4.7, I cannot log into my dashboard. The site itself loads up and visible, but I can’t log in, I get a blank page, and this url:
http://khfenterprisesinc.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F

I agree, and if I knew there would be a 3.6.1 coming soon, I’ll wait. It just takes more time to delete the current folder and then upload the new one. This kind of run around, and lack of any warning, is not what one expects in a premium theme.

June 8, 2016 at 1:40 am in reply to: {RESOLVED} Child theme throws 500 internal server error after upgrade to 3.6 #644445and be sure to clear your browser cache after reuploading….
Try clearing the browser cache after reuploading…
Removing the existing Enfold folder and then uploading the new 3.6 may have in fact worked. I tried to log in on a different computer and it was okay. My guess is I need to clear my cache on my regular computer which I will try later to make sure.
December 2, 2015 at 2:32 am in reply to: Help. Dashboard strip on top not visible. Can't edit page #545694Never mind, I figured it out….
I’m sorry, I don’t get it. You are saying the featured image showing up with the title on the widget sidebar is standard behavior; and yet, I am not seeing that featured image there, why not?
so, if it is standard WP behavior, how come it is not showing up on mine?
Yes, I am using recent posts widget; so, are you saying having an image along side the title of the post in the recent post widget sidebar is standard behavior, or not having an image there is standard behavior?
dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/w6il2381brs3egz/AADHQnvr-nK8Nl0UxN3Z0IH-a?dl=0
one image is of the home page, and you’ll see on the right sidebar a listing of posts. I would like to have a small thumbnail from each post with the title on this homepage
the other image is of the post itself. This is in standard format, as opposed to gallery format, which I prefer, but may need to go this way as suggested; but, as you can see, the featured image is up in the left corner of the post; but, it is not showing on the homepage sidebar…
Thanks…When I change the post format to standard, the featured image now shows up in the post, to the left of the post title, but it does not show up in the sidebar post listing along with the post title, which is what I am after. Not sure what you mean by use the shortcode….I know what the shortcode is, just not sure what to do with it….

July 31, 2015 at 1:04 am in reply to: Problems with Googlebot and robots.txt disallow/ wp-includes #481018Thanks for the response; no, it is not a theme issue; from what I am reading on the net, this is a fairly upcoming issue across the board will all WordPress sites; whereas disallowing /wp-content in robots.txt has been a common practice, it appears now to be considered a bad idea. Same with disallowing /wp-admin. So, I’ve removed those disallows and we’ll see what happens in terms of Googlebot’s indexing of irrelevant stuff, which tends to contribute to crawl errors. But, in a general sense, perhaps users should know that disallowing /wp-content is now considered bad practice….
And, you can close this now….

I have received the same ‘eliminate render-blocking JavaScript…..’ message from GWT.
Thank you! I changed it to pinch and zoom….
As an addendum, the suggestion is to include this piece of code:
<meta name=viewport content=”width=device-width, initial-scale=1″>
But, does not Enfold already have this, or something like this?
ok, thanks; I will delete it, not that important. You can close this ticket.
the website is mauiislandportraits.com/ most of the errors seem to be on the blog posts and they are only very recently showing up as errors, within the last couple of weeks. When I run a test, the results are very good, so its odd that these errors are showing up….

1/21/15ok, thanks….
It’s a firefox plugin;you can close this.
Thanks. -KenI checked it on another computer and it works fine; I think it is my browser, Firefox 35.0 and the only thing I needed to add recently was Java Runtime Environment. Might that have an effect?
TinyMCE is no longer supported; use WP Edit, by the same authors as TinyMCE
upload Enfold 3.0.4. Clear cache. That worked for my sliders.
