Thanks. I had already tried that as well. Actually, I tried changing the file in the parent them and including it in my child directory (with and without the original in the parent theme). All configurations led to the error that I screenshotted for you.
Sorry for the confusion. The problem still exists.

There is a conflict…We use All in One Event Calendar. When I added your code my homepage content from the menu down disappeared.
I was able to get the error details:
Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Argument 1 passed to Ai1ec_Exception_Handler::handle_exception() must be an instance of Exception, instance of Error given in /home2/meditbf7/public_html/dev/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/lib/exception/handler.php:191 Stack trace: #0 [internal function]: Ai1ec_Exception_Handler->handle_exception(Object(Error)) #1 {main} thrown in /home2/meditbf7/public_html/dev/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/lib/exception/handler.php on line 191
I am looking for something like this, but specific to Enfold
Thanks Rikard,
That pushed me in the right direction. I ended up turning the posts into a link format. Then, I ran into a new problem. I was adding the link to the image, which is the first link in the post. Maybe it has something to do with Avia, but it doesn’t see that link.
I had the thought maybe I could put the link in the excerpt or use custom fields. Could you advice me how I can change the function.php file – I imagine that is what it will take – so that the link format calls it’s url from a custom fields data called post-url?
Thanks for the great support!
I found it! Thanks for offering to help.
I took a look. I am still confused. Sorry
login using firefox. I think there is a verification dialogue that doesn’t show up on chrome.
Cheers

Hi Rikard
I had looked for such an option. I am somehow unable to find it. Sorry. Can you show me a screenshot of how it should look or can I send you into the website backend to look?
Thanks Victoria,
The menu should include an item called Upcoming Events. This item is called using the widgets in menu plugin that your team recommended. I haven’t been able to get it to show on desktop, but it shows up on mobile.
Once the menu appears on desktop I would also need to resolve:
Also, can I remove the image from just the widget display?
Can I remove the publish date from the widget display? Thanks so much for the quick reply!
CheersHey team,
Sorry I lost touch. The project was put on hold for a while. I am back on it and still cannot get the menu to display in chrome or firefox on a desktop. Good news, it displays on mobile!
So, I still need to fix the display issue.
Also, can I remove the image from just the widget display?
Can I remove the publish date from the widget display? Thanks guys
Hey Mike
I made you access. Thanks for looking at the menu item display issue for upcoming events menu (widget menu item)
Thanks John
I did not include enough information about the menu. There is a menu item called “upcoming events” that is called via widgets in menus, the plugin you guys recommended. That is the item that is not showing. Could we revisit this? Thanks
HI Mike
I just revisited this approach. I tried it on the following site http://www.dev.meditation-indianapolis.org/
But, the menu item disappears a moment later…?I made sure that there was no custom css conflict, not sure what else to try.
Have you had this problem with other Enfold sites? Do you know how I can fix it?
CheersHey team
The solution I needed was here.
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/posts-in-reverse-order/Thanks for being there for support. Sometimes searching through the forum takes days, but I am glad I found an answer in there.
This can be closed now.
CheersThank you Ismael!
That is exactly what I was going for. Is there a way I can set the categories to do the same on a category page? The page is https://www.meditationinbloomington.org/category/special-events/.
I am trying to show people all events in the special event category. I’d like them to see the events in the order they will happen, instead of reverse order.
Thanks again
Hey team
Just curious if there is a method to insert some code into the child theme? Is that the easiest approach. I have tried a few things and none worked.
Thanks big time
Thanks Basilis
I checked the post status in quick edit mode and they were not marked as sticky.
I made them all sticky. No change.
I removed sticky. Still no change.
At present, the posts are not sticky, but not looping in the order I want. They are reversed from what I’d like.Sorry for the bad news. But I bet y’all have something more up your sleeves. Your support is Stellar
Thanks here are the credentials.
Also, I disabled the plugin so you can see the ordering issue on the category page.I got the categories to post in reverse order with a plugin, but the slider didn’t respond. So, I still need code for the slider. If possible, I’d like to use code in a functions or shortcode file for the category posts instead of a plugin.
Thanks
Thanks Andy
I wasn’t sure how complicated it would be, so I figured I would ask. :)
Cheers

Sure
This is what I have
This is what I desire
The difference is that when I use gridrow I end up with the content in the div flex_cell no_margin av_one_full avia-builder-el-2 avia-builder-el-no-sibling
But I want it to appear in the div entry-content-wrapper with the rest of the post content.
Is that more clear?
I am good on this actually. I just set the wrong height parameters for the banner. It had to be a ratio, not a set pixel height. :)

We are making progess.
The title is gone!
The image is clickable! Now, can we make it link to the associated post? It currently returns to the home-page. :(
Thanks for the awesome feedback in your answer. Your site is easy to convert to a child theme
Thanks Mike,
That did it. I had tried something similar, but I had missed the ‘a’Cheers
Thanks Mike
That option isn’t available on this page (it is an event page). I was trying to figure out the css, but couldn’t.April 2, 2017 at 10:59 pm in reply to: Featured Image Slider: Remove Title, Make Image Link to Post #770767The slider is on a home page I am developing here:
