Hi Rikard,
Thanks for your reply!
I’m using Chrome too – maybe it’s just on my local PC.
I get the same response in explorer.
So, loading up this website https://madhyamaka.org/ (enfold theme)
The preloader appears which is great
The screen then briefly goes grey coloured (blanks out completely)
Then goes back to the pre-loader before finally displaying the page.
(this same process happens on any link that is clicked – pre loader appears -> then briefly blanks whole page -> back to pre loader -> displaying page)
It just seems a bit “clunky” – I’m wondering what might be causing this temporary “blank out” during the pre loader stage
Thanks so much for any help,
Best wishes,
Chris Skelton.This all seems to be working now!!!
Thanks so much for all your help guys!
Perfect.
Have a great day!

Hi Yigit,
Thanks so much – OK, the main menu navigation items do not look clickable now – which is great.
However, now all the items underneath these menu headings (when you hover over them) do not display the clickable icon (the icon of a hand) even though of course they are all clickable,
Best wishes & thanks for your help,
Chris.Hi Yigit,
No, it still isn’t working. Just to confirm this is the code I have below (using menu-item ID = 4189) – being the “About Us” drop down. I’m trying to get it so that “About Us” does not seem clickable (i.e. normal mouse pointer) but everything underneath appears normal and clickable (hand pointer icon):
Here’s the webpage: http://www.meditationinsarasota.org
.av-main-nav li.menu-item-has-children a {
cursor: default;
}nav.main_menu li > a {
pointer-events:none;
cursor: default
}nav.main_menu #menu-item-4189 a {
pointer-events:auto;
cursor: default
}Hi Jordan,
This works BUT – all the items underneath these main menu headings remain as the normal mouse pointer icon (as opposed to a clickable hand icon).So, all the menu items underneath the main heading take on the same characteristic of not showing a clickable hand icon (when of course they all clickable underneath the main heading)
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help – really appreciated,
Best wishes,
Chris.Hi Rikard,
Thanks for your reply,
I copied that code into the General Styling but it didn’t work.
Any other ideas? I tried adding !important – but still not working.
Thanks for any help,

Chris SkeltonDecember 22, 2017 at 11:51 pm in reply to: Enfold – Featured image disappearing under header? #891774H Jordan,
The thing is – you can’t add a custom class to an advanced layer slider content? I can see the option in other avia items – but now advanced layer slider…
Hmm.December 22, 2017 at 11:11 pm in reply to: Enfold – Featured image disappearing under header? #891763Hi Jordan,
I actually think it might only be happening on the layer slider now on the home page….
So, would it be possible to add custom class field to that so you can work your magic,
Best Wishes,
ChrisDecember 22, 2017 at 10:58 pm in reply to: Enfold – Featured image disappearing under header? #891757Hi Jordan,
I’ve done this – I can’t understand how you would add custom class field to the advanced layer slider?
The layslider on the home page is one of the many images that gets chopped by 30px with the range you mentioned above in the CSS

December 22, 2017 at 9:49 pm in reply to: Enfold – Featured image disappearing under header? #891731Hi Jordan,
Unfortunately that didn’t work – can you give me any guidance on adding custom class sections so that the responsive works?

Chris Skelton.December 22, 2017 at 7:33 pm in reply to: Enfold – Featured image disappearing under header? #891686Is seems between these widths : (max-width: 996px) and (min-width: 776px)
For some reason 30px of the top part of the featured image or layer slider gets hidden behind the top menu bar…and therefore chopped off.
I use featured images on about 30 of my pages – so when they are viewed on device that has width in the range above the featured or layerslider gets chopped at the top and elements are cut off…It displays fine on desktop though and mobile.
Thanks for any help.
Chris.

No, it’s all the pages that either have a featured image or the layer slider

Further to above:
Here’s another screenshot (after a clearing of all cache) of it not displaying correctly on a desktop:
Using Chrome:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/nqadrv5o9v19mek/screenshotdektop.png?dl=1You might think the links are missing to those images but they aren’t because they pictures do actually appear for 1 second – and then disappearing. The behaviour is very odd.
The layerslider does work correctly on other desktops though … like yours!
Please can you offer advice?Best Wishes.
December 22, 2017 at 5:24 pm in reply to: Help with buggy layerslider since migration to server #891646Hi Victoria,
I’m testing it on my mobile phone (and one other phone from my house). Here’s an image of what’s happening:
I’ve deleted all the cache on both phones – still the same result.
Hmm, very strange behaviour.https://www.dropbox.com/s/h2l6oq57cppanux/Screenshot_2017-12-22-15-02-52.png?dl=1
On two phones I’ve deleted cache (running chrome) – still has the same problem,
Thanks for any help,

ChrisDecember 22, 2017 at 10:00 am in reply to: Enfold – Featured image disappearing under header? #891519Hi Jordan,
I realized the CSS you suggested above makes other elements lose alignment because they also use this class:
@media only screen and (max-width: 996px) and (min-width: 776px) {
header.entry-content-header{
margin-top:45px!important;
}}For example. on this page below – the icon list uses this class – and therefore you will see it is out of alignment on these resolutions specified above:
The icon list “free public talk” – moves 45px out of alignment
Any ideas how this can be fixed – or make sure the CSS code you gave works specifically to the image at top of page,
Best wishes,
Chris Skelton.December 22, 2017 at 12:26 am in reply to: Enfold – Featured image disappearing under header? #891426Hi Jordan,
Can you offer any advice on why the advanced layer slider on my home page – gets “chopped off” short at the top (a bit like the featured images were)?
The address is:
http://development.meditationinsarasota.org
On the second and third slides – the layers get lost underneath the header menu (can you see the layers than transition in?)
It is set to “responsive mode” with the layer slider itself
It works perfect on desktop ad 1200 pixels wide.
Thanks for your help,
Best wishes,

Do you need these credentials to work out what’s wrong? I just get a little nervous giving out our admin password :)

Thanks for your time Victoria. Much appreciated.

Please close!
This has been fixed.
Thank you!Hi John,
I’ve done this. They have said disable all other plugins and run on a default WordPress theme to see if it works. It runs OK on the default WordPress theme so it’s pointing to a theme conflict.
Can you give me any advice or pointers? I’m lost here because the plugin authors are saying I should ask Enfold for advice and you are saying I need to contact the plugin author. I’ve done everything the plugin author has suggested to isolate the problem – it works fine on the default WP theme so can you please help?
Also, I have an older version of enfold theme running on another site I created and this plugin works perfectly on this site. There are no conflicts.
Best wishes

Hi Victora,
Sorry – i didn’t notice the subtle difference of a “#” to a “.”
I created two entries of CSS for each menu item – one for changing color on desktop and the one above you suggested to change background of mobile menu.
Does that sound correct?
Thanks for your time,
Best wishes,
Christopher Skelton.Hi Victoria,
To be clear what I would like.
I would like the background color of a single menu-item (both on desktop and mobile menu) to be #0094be
The css above works perfectly on desktop – non-responsive menu – it was given to me by one of your colleagues. I don’t want to change that – it works absolutely fine :)
However, this CSS *does not* change the same menu-item background on the mobile menu. I want this to be the same background color too : #0094be
I need to know what css to use to change the color of the background of a single menu item on mobile menu.
Thanks for your help,
Christopher Skelton.

Hi Victoria,
I think this getting too complicated.
I fixed the problem by just added the white space into the logo .png file itself and removing all the suggested CSS changes.
It works perfectly now.
Thanks for your help,
