Thanks, I am not sure how this disappeared but it must have happened during one of the updates.
October 17, 2017 at 12:24 am in reply to: Button on my home page not showing on mobile device #865036I activated the child theme and imported the settings from the parent theme. Some of the settings seem to be imported but others not. For example on the menu in my parent theme the back ground is black but when I imported it to the child theme the background of the menu was white. Also the text throughout the child theme was green compared to black in the parent theme.
Do I need to manually record all settings in my parent theme and manually adjust any settings that do not auto update as part of the parent theme settings import?
I have reverted back to the parent theme now.
Thanks,
Keith
October 11, 2017 at 1:27 am in reply to: Button on my home page not showing on mobile device #862694Hi I am just now getting back to trying to setup a child theme so that I can do the following;
Create another slider specifically for mobile because the current slider is so small when viewed on mobile device. Try to add another full screen slider then toggle the display using css media queries. Example here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-to-hide-some-elements-in-mobile-version/
If I download the pre-built enfold child theme will I lose any changes I have already made to my parent theme?
I have included my login details below
Thanks for that. I have read through the appropriate documentation and believe the answer to my question is no. I cannot have a different font for the blog.
Thanks Mike. I have a follow-up question. I am wondering about the font type in Enfold blog posts. Is it possible to change the font type for blog posts or landing pages only? Or if you change the font type would it change the font type on the whole website?
For example I really like the layout, font type etc. on this landing page https://seanwes.com/30-days-to-better-writing/.
I don’t necessarily want to change the font type on my whole website but would like to do something similar to the seanwes website on my blog posts or landing pages.
Also please would you let me know what the font type is in Enfold?
Cheers,
Keith

Thanks I have cleared the cache and that seems to have worked. Also now I have another problem. When you click on the product photo on the next page the image is blurred. This was never before the case. I don’t know if it is due to the latest Woocommerce update.
Please see image below. I am taking about the large image in the top left.
Hi Victoria,
When I am using my Mac it appears as per the screenshot. The font that is too big are on the description – LANTA, MIDNIGHT BLUES, ORIGINAL RASTA.
I didn’t make any changes to the font. It seems to have happened after the recent Woocommerce update.
Thanks
Link to relevant info below.
OK Thanks it seems to have worked. I wonder why it needs CSS and why it is not just working as it should?
OK so one image and an empty box to the right of it that says ‘Advertise Here’
I found this code and was wondering it is possible to have less white space under the image between it and the next image
.avia_partner2 { display: none!important; }
.avia_partner_widget a, .avia_partner_widget a:hover { width: 100%; padding-bottom: 100%; }Ok but doesn’t that only allow me to have two images? I am only after one image.
I meant I had sorted the link out – I still don’t have an answer to my original question/issue.
Hi,
I have sorted it out now – http://westcoasthammocks.com/superjumbo/
Also please see the enfold ad/image I was referring to attached.
<img src="<img src=”http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/af329/erukus/Screen%20Shot%202016-05-24%20at%208.58.00%20pm.png” border=”0″ alt=” photo Screen Shot 2016-05-24 at 8.58.00 pm.png” />” alt=”Enfold Ad” />
I am not sure that addresses my question.
As you scroll down this page I want to be able to click on the images in the sidebar and make them link to another page http://westcoasthammocks.com/index.php/superjumbo/.
Thanks!
OK Finally got this sorted. My issue was that I was not regenerating the images after I made the changes to the product catalogue image size.
Thanks!
Yes, that’s the catalogue image. Look at the following image for example, the image is cropped to 450x321px: http://westcoasthammocks.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/SJ-Lanta-CCU-e1461770115597.jpg
OK so the catalogue image are the images being displayed on the main page in the product grid. I cropped the image you have referenced above http://westcoasthammocks.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/SJ-Lanta-CCU-e1461770115597.jpg so that was nothing to do with anything else. I have changed it now back to its original size.
If you have images larger than the specified thumbnail size, WordPress will resize or cropped it until it pass the required thumbnail size. In this case, the maximum width of the catalogue images is set to 450x450px. Uploaded images will not exceed that dimension. If you want to prevent this, set the maximum width and height to the size of the actual image but the theme has to resize it via css to fit the column container.
OK now I have set the WooCommerce display settings for catalogue images to 1080×772 which is the size of the original image but I don’t see any difference. Also should hard crop be ticked – please would you explain what hard crop means.
Thanks in advance.
OK I have to admit I am a little bit confused. Please would you help me to understand. My images that I have uploaded are 1080 x 772.
The catalog images are 450 px x 450 px. First please would you confirm that the catalog images refer to the images displayed on this page in the product grid? – http://westcoasthammocks.com.au/superjumbo/
The container is 1310 px wide. I assume this means the width of the useable space.
You say that WordPress is cropping images by default when uploading themes. Please can you clarify what this means and how it ties into the information above.
You also say that I can adjust Enfold’s image setting directly – I am not sure which image size relates to the images we are discussing and what changes should be made.
Really I would just like for the whole image to fit into the Woo Commerce product grid box while retaining the image quality. I appreciate your advice and help understanding how the system works.
That did the trick – thanks!
I want it on mobile and desktop. I had the following
.responsive #top .logo img {
max-height: 55px!important;which I removed but didn’t have the top 20px
Please can you check my CSS and see what is going on as I am confused now
At the moment they are 1080 x 772 and as you can see they are only just not fitting in the square. If I could reduce them a small bit to fit in the square that would be great.
When I reduce the image to 300 px I lose a lot of the quality of the image. Also at the moment when you click on the current image (I am not sure what to refer to them to? are those image on the page westcoasthammocks.com.au/superjumbo thumbnails or catalogue images?) you get through to the other product gallery images and when they are in full size of 1080 they are nice and big and you can see full detail. When I change the image size for the page i.e. down to 300 px then when you click through the product gallery images are also small and you can’t see the detail for example click on the image Original Rasta.
For Original Rasta I have downsized the image size but it is not downsized on the main page (catalogue or thumbnail) for some reason.
Ideally I would like them to fit in the box but retain the size so that when you click through you get the full image size 1080px.
Still not working!
Still not working! westcoasthammocks.com.au login details provided
have implemented it and doesn’t seem to have made any difference
Thanks Ismael,
So if I want to have four columns what size should I make the thumbnails?
April 26, 2016 at 2:29 pm in reply to: How to analyse theme examples without impacting my own site. #622156Hi Rikard,
I would like to see the shortcodes for the shop demo here http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold-overview. This seems to be different to the shop them in the actual enfold here http://westcoasthammocks.com/index.php/homepage/home-v8-frontpage-shop/
Thanks
Hi there! Really what I am trying to do is the following;
When you load the page http://westcoasthammocks.com.au/superjumbo/ you get the images at the top and then the icons with some information below it i.e.
DOUBLE
Fits Two Adults Comfortably and holds up to 250kg bodyweight!!I want to add more information after bodyweight but I want it to be optional for the customer to read it and therefore have something like READ MORE. Is there any way of doing that so that the paragraph expands or the box opens or expands. The reason is that from the Ecommerce point of view I don’t want to limit someone getting straight to the products if they don’t want all the other information. If I just have a long paragraph then they might bounce away from the page and not get to the products.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Oops Ok thanks for the hint!!
anyone?
Thanks!
