Hi Rikard,
Here’s a quick update: I have commented out the function declaration in events_countdown.php from lines 12 to 16, and now I’m back in business.
Things are working again.

Hi Rikard,
I have tried the manual update by downloading and overwriting the directory, and now get this message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare av_countdown_events_fallback() (previously declared in /var/www/html/bits/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown.php:14) in /var/www/html/bits/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/events_countdown.php on line 12
I also am not even able to log into the dashboard again either, so I need to declare another theme as active to get there again.
The machine I am using is not public, it is a VM in my home network, and is serving as my development box. I won’t be able to provide you with login details either. I don’t have an issue removing the enfold directory from the themes folder and restarting, if that is an option. Unless you have a quick fix for the error message this is the rout I am considering and at the moment would prefer.
Let me know what would be the best route to take, but remember, this is a development machine, so deleting and starting over is an option.
Thanks for your help.
Karl
Hey Victoria,
Thanks for your help. Turning off WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG does not show or log the error messages, but it still doesn’t help me to upgrade.
As mentioned, I am currently on version 4.2.3, and would like to get to the current version. I see that you have done some improvements with WPML, and will be implementing that into my project next.
I tried to do a manual update using the directions published at Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades, but was unsuccessful.
My question now is: How do I get Enfold to the version 4.2.6 and be able to update to 4.2.7 after it is released?
Thanks,
Karl
