Hello Rikard
Thanks for this.
In my FTP, the /htdocs/wp-content/themes/enfold-child directory had no header.php, presumably because I deleted it last time I had a footer problem (see thread above).
I did, however delete the footer.php in the child theme and that seems to have fixed it.
many thanks for your help,
KathyHi,
After the latest Enfold update, my footer has been completely rearranged with new column headings and contents that are messy and not at all what I want on every page of my website.
My Widgets settings are unchanged but are clearly being overridden by something, presumably from the update.
I’m adding this request for help to a previous thread because I had a problem with my footer a month ago and you sorted it out (thank you!!).
Should I apply the same fix as last time, i.e. got to FTP files and delete the header.php?
I’d be very grateful for any advice you are able to give and please let me know if you’d like a login.
My website is http://www.freewriterscompanion.com
Thanks
KathyRikard, thanks!!
I deleted the header.php in FTP and it worked! My website footer has reappeared.
Should I also now delete sidebar.php and footer.php (that I added myself) to the enfold child folder on FTP to be safe?
many thanks for your excellent advice,
KathyHello Yigit
Thanks so much for your very prompt reply!
I did in fact read this support topic and tried to do the fix myself, but I would be delighted if you could go in and look at this for me.
I have added a temporary login for WP admin in the private content box, but I am sorry I do not know how to do this for FTP. I can access my FTP files via the Fasthosts control panel myself, but please could you explain how I can authorise you? (I’ve tried searching on here, Google and Fasthosts help.)
Kind regards,
Kathy -
