Same here, the problem has re-surfaced.
Any progress of an update from Kriesi?

Different but still the same ;-)

Also I’m using Wordfence and receives the nag. I’ve also found out that there’s no LAYSERSLIDER update yet.

I got the same issue, with the error message:
