On a related note… What plugins for WordPress and/or WooCommerce are you using? If it makes sense and can be done, I’ll try to add some elements for them.
Here is a preview of what is coming with the SEO improvements. This specifically is for the App Card Element and shows validation testing.
What does this actually do? Search engines like Google will scrape the microdata included in the code to better display details in search results. Here is an example:
As previously mentioned, I will be taking the time to go through ALL of the elements in my addon and updating the code to include specific microdata that applies. This will take a little time and I will push updates in chunks. Please….please do re-buy the addon for each website you use it on. It is only $25 right now.
There are some updates coming. Several new WooCommerce elements and some small fixes to others.
Also….I will be updating elements one at a time to include proper scheme structured data to better help everyone’s page SEO for search results.
That said, I will also be re-evaluating how this add-on is sold and updates are delivered. I’ve been working on this project for quite a while now and I get the feeling that it is being used on multiple sites per purchase. In other words, people aren’t coming back to purchase a new copy for each use. Given the low price of this addon, it shouldn’t be an issue to include it in the price structure for those building sites for others. The honor system just isn’t working sadly.
MINOR UPDATE
I have updated the modern promo to include most of the default Enfold image sizes. Don’t know why I didn’t have those there before. So now with sizes like the “featured large” one, you can have a promo that is more of a banner.
I also fixed a small bug that didn’t fill the element with the image if the element size was larger than the image size being used.
In the future I will work on a custom size option where you can have full control over the size options for the image element to cover case uses where the image size options included aren’t what you need for your specific uses.Also….if you have already purchased the addon before and want to or are already using it on multiple sites….please consider purchasing the addon for each use. I am donating the proceeds (minus a coffee here and there). Feel free to show your appreciation and make a donation below for any amount you deem fair for multiple uses of the addon.
As always, share your ideas of current elements and for new ones you would like to see. The element ideas that I am more willing to create would be ones that can have multiple uses…blogs, pages, products, etc. That doesn’t mean I won’t consider any for specific use cases that involve popular plugins as I have done with ACF.
Thank you!!!
@ramotzkie – I am working on that next. The trick with that one would be how to include the product image in such a way where it isn’t just a background image, rather something that can be featured without detracting from the overall look of the card that the others have.
Putting the elements on sale for a while! If you have any new element requests, just let me know! If you appreciate the updates and have purchased this element pack in the past, please remember to purchase again each time you use it with a new website or client. Or you can show your appreciation by buying me a coffee with a donation to any of the services above. Thank you!
SMALL UPDATE
Am I the only one who hates how the edit link on the front-end opens the backend in the same window? Or you have to Ctrl-click to open in a new tab? All when you just needed to make a quick update to something? Then you end up with all these open tabs….yada yada yada…
So I updated the Edit Button element to have the option between the current method of redirecting you to the back-end….OR….you can now have the back-end edit screen open in a popup modal window right on top of the front-end page you’re editing! This will allow you to quickly make an update, save, close the modal and hit refresh without having to wait for a redirect or switching between tabs.
If you purchased the addon in the past, please consider showing your appreciation for the new additions and further development by making a donation via one of the methods below. All proceeds, minus a coffee or two, will be donated. Please don’t forget to buy the addon for each client you use the addons with, just as you would with Enfold itself. Thank you!!!
UPDATE
This is a bigger update. Please note that if you use the Modern Product and Modern Promo elements, you will likely need to re-setup those elements as the code was updated. Before you update those elements, be prepared to set aside the time to fix them wherever they’re used on your site(s).
There are two new elements. Movie Card & App Card.
Movie Card – A responsive element that will allow you to display details about media such as movies, tv shows, YouTube series, podcasts, etc. Great for review sites or when you want to promote one as a featured element on the page.App Card – A responsive element to display app details.
In the future, this concept will be modified as a general promo element and one specific for products in WooCommerce.
As previously mentioned, if you are using these elements on your client’s sites, please build the price of this element into your pricing and purchase it with every use. If you purchased the addon in the past, please consider showing your appreciation for the new additions and further development by making a donation via one of the methods below. All proceeds, minus a coffee or two, will be donated. Thank you!!!

Here’s an updated view of the movie cards. Any last-minute ideas for it? I think it’s pretty solid for the first version. Note that this info card doesn’t have to just be used for movies. Can use it for TV shows, Youtube vids, etc. Can be used on all kinds of sites which feature media content. That includes video and audio (music & podcasts). Just use your imagination.
Before I release this in an update, I am going to at least complete the app info card as well. Maybe later today or tomorrow.
As mentioned in the past, I hope that if anyone is using this on multiple sites for clients, please do factor the cost into their invoice and purchase the addon each time. If you purchased the pack a while back and appreciate all of the new elements that have been added, please consider a donation. As with the proceeds of the addon pack, I will donate to various charities…..a coffee here or there notwithstanding.
THANK YOU!
COMING SOON
The next update will have some major fixes to some older elements. A heads up though, you may need to set them back up as the code updates are significant. So be sure to do a full check of any websites you update these elements on.
Now, a little preview of an element that will have multiple forms. Here is a preview of the new “Movie Card”. Other iterations will include a product card, app card, etc….all with exclusive features to each of them. All will have to layout modes you can lock them into: banner and portrait. The banner layout is responsive and at a point will have the same look as the portrait layout.
I haven’t seen a way to link directly into the stock fonts, but I’ll see what I can come up with.
Follow-up question…slightly related as it’s part of the same element… I know how to make it so that I can update the element name to reflect things like specific products, but it only does so after the page is saved/updated and the editor page refreshes. Is there a way you know of to make it update the title in the “editor_element” when you hit the save button in the editor modal?
As an example…the element “Modern Product”. I put it where I want, edit it to select a specific product, hit save in the modal and it closes. At this point, the title in the layout editor will still say “Modern Product”. Once I update the page or save the draft, the title will have changed to the name of the product.
I have tried taking a queue from the Special Heading element and including “data-update_with=” in there, but it didn’t work. So I’m assuming that I am missing something in the setup. I just can’t figure out what that is.
Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to better myself on this so I can make these custom elements better….especially the woocommerce ones. When it comes to products, some people might have a lot of products and having the title update when the edit modal is saved can really help with organizing so one can know what the element represents without having to hit “save draft” or “update” a lot.
Here is what I currently have.
function editor_element($params) { $params['args'] = shortcode_atts(array('link' => '', 'new_title' => '', 'tagline' => '', 'newbadge' => '', 'sale' => '', 'sale_bg' => '', 'newprod' => '', 'newprod_font' => '', 'newprod_bg' => '#588737', 'extratag' => '', 'extra_bg' => '', 'img_size' => 'shop_catalog','heading_size' => '30', 'prefix' => '', 'suffix' => '', 'overlay' => '0.6', 'overlay_start' => '10', 'overlay_end' => '50' ), $params['args'], $this->config['shortcode']); $templateNAME = $this->update_template("name", "{{name}}"); global $product; $link = isset( $params['args']['link'] ) ? $params['args']['link'] : ''; $product = wc_get_product( $link ); $prod_title = $product->post->post_title; $params['innerHtml'] = "<img src='".$this->config['icon']."' title='".$this->config['name']."' />"; if ($link) {$params['innerHtml'].= "<div class='avia-element-label'>".$prod_title."</div>";} else {$params['innerHtml'].= "<div class='avia-element-label'>".$this->config['name']."</div>";} return $params; }

Heya,
I am only somewhat familiar with it all. Self-taught in my spare time. That worked! Thank you!
Only one element does that and it does so by design. You’re welcome to delete it from your shortcodes folder. Will be the elegant title element.
SMALL UPDATE
In this update, the ACF elements got a little love. I moved them to their own tab and the ACF Field element was updated to make it much more useful. Before it was just basic. All it did was display the value of a field on that page or a field on a different page. Now you can choose between displaying a field as before, but also one from an options page set up with ACF Pro. Note, the options feature will only work if you have that setup.
Also, I’ve included the ability to include a prefix and suffix added to the field entry, with some styling options thrown in.
Look for more ACF related elements in the future.
Regarding the Artwork Frame…..That can’t be done through this element. You would have to put the artwork frame element on a blank page that has no header/footer, then link to that page using a lightbox link. There are instructions on how to do just that in these forums.
Heya,
I have tried several times to get this to work and I just can’t figure it out. I’m not an expert at this. But I just can’t get it to work for me.function load_preview_css( $css = "" ) {$css[get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/shortcodes/css/spiderfly.css'] = 1;}
To add in a call to the css file my custom layout elements use so they will display correctly in the preview pane. I call it in the element file like normal so it will display correctly on the front end, but to get it to do so in the preview pane I have to manually edit that file and provide instructions for others to do the same.
I’m trying to find a way to get the more complex elements to load correctly in the preview pane without that extra edit of a core file, which has to be done after each Enfold update.
I’ve been having to manually edit that file each time there’s an update. I haven’t been able to get a hook or filter to work in the element file itself to work so that it works. Do you have a working example of that? I’ve tried several times and it never seems to work. The only thing that does is editing the template-builder.class.php file. I’ve had to resort to putting instructions on how to do that in the elements where that is needed, which also have to be updated to change the line number since that tends to change with the updates as well. Just trying to make it easy for novice users.
Ok…I’ll see if I can address all of these…LOL
A) I’m not sure what you mean with the colored badge and text. Do you mean you want that on the standard image and not just the WooCommerce ones? That can be done.
2) I”m sure that can be done with the ribbon heading in some way. I’ll have to play around with it to see how it affects the overall layout as the text size changes.
D) I don’t know if you can make a 100% CSS element show up in a lightbox by itself. The only solution to that I can think of is to put the element on its own blank template page, then make that no header/no footer page show up in lightbox with that element on it.
7) pages don’t have categories or tags. I just tested it on a post and it works for me.
M) The flyout button requires those percentage margins in order to keep the hidden flyouts centered and where they need to be. You can control it by putting it in a layout element with a smaller or defined size.
ignore my ordering system…just fucking with y’all.
I figured it out I think. I’ll just call in the CSS file I was already for the front-end too. Seems to work. There are a lot of alignment issues with the modal editor window, especially with the av_half part. So I have figured out how to do this.
What I CAN’T seem to figure out is how to hook into the preview window for the modal. I’ve called the CSS file in the element file, but it doesn’t apply to the preview window. I’ve asked about this before and no one has come up with a solution. The only way to get it to work is to manually edit the file that handles the preview window and call out the CSS file there…..but I have to do so every time there’s an update to the theme. Would be great to have some kind of hook that I can include in the element file that would do that. I’m trying to come up with more complex looking elements and a preview is pretty much needed….but without that hook, it’s hard to wanna do so. I know how users are….they want the devs to do everything and make it easy for them. Hahahahaha
That’s a good idea, but I don’t think it would be something that I would do as it would essentially just be the same element, just with a little more added. As the sort function uses scripts, I wouldn’t want to conflict with it. Logically, as the sort tags are automatically pulled from the portfolio categories they would need to add some way of attaching an icon graphic to each category so it is also pulled. Which wouldn’t be elegant or easy.
One idea is to use the tab element that is already in Enfold, then add a portfolio element to each tab you want which only displays items from a specific category. You can add icons to those tabs already. So that will probably be the best way to achieve what you’re looking to do with what is already in Enfold.
I am working on some updates based on requests and my own ideas….but keep the ideas coming! Send me links to examples of something you like. Ideal elements are those that can be done using just HTML and CSS. I will look at ones that use Javascript, but we have to be careful with those so they don’t break what’s already in Enfold.
I will also begin sharing out some custom layout and uses with the ACF integration. There is a LOT that can be done with that.
That said, as the add-on grows in what is included, the price will go up accordingly. Yes, technically you could just buy it once and use it for all your sites and clients, but please consider buying it each time you use it for a different site/client as it helps to continue the development. As always, other than a few coffees at Starbucks when I need a fix, the proceeds are donated to various charities and non-profits.
OH! Hey, Enfold devs….can you update the share element to remove Google+? That’s dead. Maybe also update it so we can easily add custom ones?
@Gitte – I can do that in the next update. Will see if I can do so within the next few days.
It has been a while since the last update, so I thought it might be time to add more elements. So share your ideas!
All fixed
Thanks for letting me know. Effing godaddy.
UPDATE
Five new elements have been added!Elegant Title – It is an animated title banner element for displaying longer titles or quotes. It is 99% complete…just have to figure out how to make it so that the animation doesn’t start until it is in view….so I recommend using this at the top of a page. Devs, I need help to integrate the animation delay that is baked into Enfold already.
Flyout Button – This is just a standard button, but it has animated flyout sections for the top or bottom or both where you can include added details. Great for download buttons so you can display the filename and size.
Art Frame – A pure CSS frame for displaying artwork nicely rather than as a simple thumbnail with a border.
Art Frame Product – An adaptation of the prior element but includes all you would need to display said artwork as a product you can sell via WooCommerce….like the price, dimensions, etc.
Filetype Icons – Some sites like to offer downloads in various different file types. This array allows you to display several icons where the filetype extension is displayed on an icon in the color you choose.
As always, let me know what you think and if you have any issues! Also, please consider buying again if you bought a long time ago and buying each time you use for a client to help spur more updates! All of the proceeds go to help those in need….buying a homeless person some new shoes or food, or a local charity. Thank you!!!!
On those, I’m not sure. Those warnings don’t seem to represent anything that is broken. Those lines in the file represent how you pull the product title, which is exactly how the official WooCommerce resources say it needs to be called. If anyone knows of a better way to do so, please let me know and I’ll push an update with a fix. Same goes for any other warnings.
As most of these warnings are coming up in the WooCommerce elements, my assumption here is that it is just a default warning letting you know it may cause problems if not used with WooCommerce installed? As none of these warnings are pointing to actual issues with getting the info it is calling, I don’t know how exactly to fix.
So again, any suggestions are welcome. I’m not at a pro level on this and I just do so in my spare time and donate the little proceeds I do get from this. But I’m trying.
Does anyone have any ideas for new elements?
