I also thought Autoplay was disabled for mobile, but what’s strange is that if I go to this site: https://wordonfire.institute/ it Autoplays on my phone.
Are they doing something different? Just curious from a learning perspective. Thanks again!
Rikard, thank you. I will try this out. I’m just trying to place a video in the middle of my homepage. It will be mute and playing in a loop. My proposed solution above works for PC/Browser, but not via mobile.
Will let you know how it works out.
This reply has been marked as private.Kriesi Moderators, I’m not getting any action from Envato Market Support towards fixing my issue for accessing the extended support that I purchased on Oct-26 (3 weeks ago) and was hoping that you could offer some assistance.
On Oct-26, I purchased “Enfold – Responsive Multi-Purpose Theme” support now valid until 27 Apr 2022.
See screenshot below for my purchase for extended support. As you can see, it says I have 5 months of support remaining, but I’ve not been able to use any of it because I did NOT receive an updated license key (i.e., Purchase Code).

I have tried repeatedly since Oct-26 (for 3 weeks) to enter a topic on the Kriesi support forum via my Themeforest account, but I keep receiving this error:

As you can see from the Envato purchase confirmation above, I did not receive a Purchase Code that I could use here. I’ve also looked through Envato emails with the purchase for the renewed support, but I cannot find a new license key.
Any help resolving my issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your willingness to help me. Yes, I used the same Themeforest account to purchase my extended support. I fully agree, 3 weeks with no support and I already paid for it is totally unacceptable. I will follow up with Envato Market. :(Fully appreciate all that you Moderators do…THANK YOU!!!

UPDATE: I believe I have finally resolved my issue with the Parent/Child Themes. I do not believe I need your assistance. Thank you.Hope Envato can fix my issue with being unable to post support topics soon or I will have to have to work with my Credit Card company for a refund. Hope it doesn’t come to this because I truly appreciate the support I have received from the Kriese group.

Are you playing these videos from the site via a desktop browser or mobile phone? Which browser / version are you using? What country are you located in? I’m in the USA. I realize that autoplay does not work on mobile phones, but they can hit play.

UPDATE (6/21, 3:20pm):
I added Autoplay to my Vimeo video and included the following embedded code and it appears to be working. Am I missing something?

Thank you for your response. I added your suggested CSS code, but I’m still seeing the Player Controls initially.

I’ve been able to remove the player controls, which leave a static “play button”. See the videos from my site here: https://newcreationsforchrist.com/about/As you can see, the “play button” covers up some of the thumbnails. It’s better than displaying all of the player controls, however, I want to add a play button where it only appears on mouseover of the thumbnail. Is this possible with WordPress (i.e. Plug-in, etc.) / Enfold?
Here is another site that implemented this feature: https://www.holyspiritspeaks.org/testimonies-categories/overcomers/ – scroll down and you’ll see images with a time frame – mouseover those images and you’ll see the play button display. This is what I was hoping to duplicate on my site.

Thank you for your response. No, the problem is not resolved. The url I provided is the functionality I’m trying to replicate.
