Thanks for reviewing my issue. I solved this issue by using the widget area in the content element. This is meeting my needs so you can close this conversation.
Thank you
I have included below the user id and password for http://www.tigertale.net
Thank you
I’m back. I have tried and tried to get the right sidebar to extend to its 100% width. I am also working with CSS Hero and I am still stumped.
I have recorded the css markings and the width of each.
right sidebar area
#main aside.sidebar.sidebar_right
width: 200 pxright sidebar paragraphs
#main aside.sidebar.sidebar_right
width: 285 pxright sidebar text widget h3
#main aside.sidebar.sidebar_right .inner_sidebar .widget:not(.woocommerce) h3:not(.widget:not(.woocommerce)-title)
width: 200 pxIf one element can be 285 px then doesn’t it make sense that the other 200 px elements can be changed? Want to see what I am talking about? Check out my website http://www.tigertale.net
Thank you for your help
I did as you asked me and looked at the answer written for someone else’s sidebar question. I am using the Enfold Child so I went to the Enfold Editor and read every word of the theme functions.php. I found the section described in the previous response and copied the lines to my Child theme functions.php. I saved it but nothing changed.
I understand some basic functions in CSS but am very limited in HTML. Just to be clear on what I want to do let me try to describe it.
Using Firebug I can see that the width of the right sidebar is 20% of the width which is what I wanted. However, the information I input only fills like 10% and is all attached to the extreme right margin.
I would like it to be centered.
I would like it to extend wider between the left and right sidebar margins. Thanks for your help.
Thank you. That took care of my issue perfectly and easily!
Thank you. That worked perfectly.
I hope this is right. I am not to familiar with cPanel’s. You have my web hosting info already.
I uploaded a new copy of Enfold from Themeforest using the file manager. It is under the
public html
wpcontent
themes
EnfoldGood luck!
Thank you for continuing to look into my theme’s hiccup. Hopefully this is the information you have requested. If you need more just ask.
I give Enfold Support personnel my permission to re-install any theme files over my personal FTP account.
Judy KellnerI have created the temporary admin login and pasted it in the private content section.
Thank you
Site is a worse mess now.
I turned off all plugin’s and that changed nothing. I deactivated the Enfold Child theme and activated the original theme. It was if none of the changes I made in the child theme were registered in the original one. So I deleted the child theme and deleted the original theme. I went to Themeforest and tried to download the All fFles and Documentation but that failed. So I downloaded the Installable WordPress Files Only and that was successful.
I activated the new Enfold and the home page comes up as an Error-404 page. The admin page does load but all the customizations are gone.
Now what? Please, please don’t tell me I have to start over?
Thank you for your follow up but the sidebar navigation setting was uncheck=
ed. Working on the website today I found that this same list shows up when =
I want to add an internal link. When I go to choose which page or post to l=
ink to all 80 choices are there. Even Envira entries. I have no idea where =
this is coming from or why…it is definitely a dilemma.
I even reset my wordpress site hoping that the demo material would be delet=
ed but when I reinstalled the backup it was still there. I did use Enfolds =
suggestion to use the plugin WordPress Reset.
Any other thoughts? -
