The scripts and stylesheets were cached so you have to do a hard refresh or purge the local storage to reload the new resources. It’s a common issue and your suggestion should help.

Yeah, I knew it was and i didn’t want that to be an issue that someone had after reading this thread so i thought I through that in there. That was what I had a problem with my first time using enfold, I thought that maybe why I was struggling but that didn’t work and that’s when i got upset but all good now. Thank you for the help and time, I love enfold when I can get it to do what I want because it can save me soo much time.

HI I think you need to take a look at the current downloadable theme you guys have on your site. I just installed a plugin to reconfigure the child theme I downloaded. Not sure what changed really but whatever it did change worked I can now edit like I planned to. For others that are suffering from the same problem I was, try getting this plugin Child Theme Configurator By Lilaea Media it is meant to install/create child themes for you but I used it to duplicate the currently empty child theme I had installed and it configured it for enfold.

The other thing to note if you are using chrome make sure to do control/command + Shift + R to reload the browser. I have had that problem in the past as well.

I thought Enfold was going to give me the head start on projects, make them fast for me to build. I thought that enfold would be the thing I use to get the repeat items out of the way so I can focus on unique design and function. But with this problem its putting me behind schedule. I have found no examples online on how your theme works with the child theme only the installation. is there no way you can give me an example of a successful child theme edit to enfolds parent theme?

Yes, But that applies to the cells not the row.
I have just given that a try and it did not change anything. I can do it in the built-in css editor but I want all my css in a place where i can easily change things.

did you unzip the file and make sure you’re grabbing the theme zip and not the packaged zip with the psd and everything else in it?

I am struggling with a similar thing. it seems any code that I add to styles.css in the child theme doesn’t override the code from the parent. I have used WordPress built-in CSS editor from the frontend and it worked fine. Although I want it all in the same place where I can make changes freely. I am hoping to see Wealthyone’s answer will help me understand what I am miss understanding.
