We can just remove either menu bar completely via css to move the other to the top. It would be easier if I could actually see the site so I know which ids to target. I am not quite sure how you would like to display the image, your current menu structure is entirely different than the example you presented. For the gradient however, you can add the following to quick css:
#av-burger-menu-ul{ background: linear-gradient(to bottom, #ebebeb 0%,#000 100%); }Best regards,

What device and browser are you using? I am using a PC and Chrome and was able to load an image to the library without issue. I left it in there for you to see.

To remove the menu, please go to Appearance -> Menus and remove all the menu items under the main menu and save. The main menu will then have nothing to display.
