Ah, thank you. That makes perfect sense. I’ll stop trying to make it work! I have succeeded in replacing the layer slider at a break point and introducing a different section at that same point into which I can add a slideshow for mobile. Seems to work.
This reply has been marked as private.It’s fine – we are going with it as-is – I was just interested in whether I could recreate the effect as per the link I sent. On that, the logo and navigation appear to be replaced with a differently styled nav bar once the logo has scrolled out of sight. I thought it was neat.
Ah – well that certainly hides the logo, but I was hoping the header would shrink too, leaving just the menu strip. It does that at http://www.l-s-d.design/
ThanksSorry, seem to have found a conflict and it’s now working. I only managed to sort this after hours of trying so I finally wrote a forum post then managed to sort it!
I’d still be interested to know iof it’s possible to lose the logo when \I scroll down just leaving the menu?- This reply was modified 6 years, 11 months ago by jonesthelight.
Perfecto! Many thanks to you.
Hi Rikard
Thanks for your time. My CSS now looks like:#header .av-main-nav .current-menu-item > a > .avia-menu-text { border:1px solid rgba(55, 55, 55 ,1); margin-left:5px; padding:5px; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.75); } .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a { font-size: 17px; font-weight:normal; } .av-main-nav ul li { width: 140% !important; } .html_header_top .header_color .main_menu ul:first-child >li > ul { border-color:transparent !important; }
The border on the drop-down still persists, though.
It’s close, works great on mobile, just a bit off on browsers.
Thanks Mike – it certainly sorted the width, but the border is still there and looks a bit odd. I’d rather lose it and just have the current page identified by the left margin.
I tried playing around with border:0px but it didn’t seem to affect it.
Any further thoughts?I’m good, thanks. All working :)
Thanks – don’t worry – found out what I was doing wrong! Great theme by the way
You guys are great! Last request for tonight – I am struggling to find how to change the size, weight and padding of the drop-down menu.
It sits a way down from the original, and I need to have 17 options, so I need to squeeze them together a bit.
You can see what I mean on the ‘Venues’ menu option at http://3pointlighting.co.uk/wordpress/four-seasons-hampshire/
Then I will leave you in peace :)That works great – on a full size screen. How can I make the text smaller when we get down to mobile size? It is bigger than the image.
Thanks for your help so far. -
