Hi Victoria,
Thanks for the reply. I’m going to see if I can attempt this in the coming week.
All the best,
JonHi Ismael,
Thank you for letting me know about the setting for schema markup – I hadn’t stumbled across it in the past, but it worked perfectly.
All the best,
JonHi Ismael,
Thank you for your reply. If I use one of those plugins, will it override the existing structured data that is being output with the ALB layout elements, or would I end up with duplicate/repetitive markup?
Also, what’s the likelihood that the team looks to address this? It seems surprising that the ALB layout elements don’t correctly support structured markup since that is one of the significant draws of using Enfold.
All the best,
JonHi Victoria,
Thanks for the note – I was able to sort out the Advanced Layout Editor issue where it was breaking for the page I was building.
I started from scratch and in the process apparently found the unclosed tag when I rebuilt it.
At this point, I’m stuck on the original issue of this thread with the monthly archives pages. Can’t seem to figure that one out.
All the best,
JonHi Victoria,
My apologies for the delay – it’s been a hectic few weeks. I’ve attached updated credentials.
All the best,
JonA few quick follow up notes. Thanks!
Hi Victoria,
Thank you for pointing that out. Most of those child files were outdated and the revisions no longer relevant, so I deleted a few.
I did, however, maintain the template-archives.php and commented out the ‘categories’ and ‘portfolio’ sections, which I don’t want to be included.
After making the changes, I purged my CDN and cleared all cache, but both issues still persist.
All the best,
JonHi Victoria,
Thanks for helping out.
All the best,
JonHey Ismael,
Awesome, that’s perfect!! I’ll give it a shot. I did end up just editing the parent theme file and that worked. I also found out that adding this file to the child theme and editing it doesn’t do anything, so that’s good to know too.
Although, sine the parent theme edit will get overwritten with the next theme update I’ll be sure to go ahead and try this addition to the functions.php – much more convenient.
Thanks and have a great day!
Thanks Devin! That definitely explains some things. I appreciate the reply.
