    A solution is to whitelist your IP address in Wordfence so it bypasses all the rules. Then it works fine and saves you having to disable the plugin. That is why it worked for our developer and not for me…

    That worked for me – looks like we were working on the same problem as our developer noticed in Google debugger that wordfence was blocking the action. Unfortunately white listing the ajax action does not work – you have to disable the Wordfence plugin. Also another strange thing was that he could edit the same pages fine on his computer with Wordfence enabled whereas I could not on mine. So hope this info helps.

    I have this too. Any text boxes with scripts in them will not open, any text boxes with SSL links will not open. And if I create new text boxes on the same page without scripts or SSL links but with the same content, I still get the ‘error fetching content’ message. It seems that certain components are getting corrupted for no apparent reason.
