Ok, thanks. So I’ll email you login info shortly. You don’t make any permanent changes though right? Only changes to quickcss which I can then move into customcss when figured out?
My guess is that the newer browsers are incorporating the whitespace at the top and bottom of the logo into the 58px size specified whereas IE8 keeps the whitespace at the top but still makes the image 58px which pushes it down too far.
Hi Peter,
It didn’t work unfortunately. I’ll gladly give you access if necessary – just installing some new parts to my site at the moment so it’s not a good time.
I did notice that for some reason IE8 seems to be making the logo “larger” – even if I remove my logo it shows larger in IE8 than in the newer browsers. I guess IE8 is displaying the image larger than the 58px it’s supposed to be and the other browsers are showing as should. Does this help? If you have any other ideas for me to try in the meantime please let me know.
Best,
JonathanHi Devin,
That sounds great, thanks.
Sorry that I don’t allow access. It’s a business site so I just try to avoid giving people access unless we have a service agreement. Thank you for understanding.
I do really appreciate your continued help on this.

November 19, 2013 at 12:55 am in reply to: Post featured images all different sizes.. Need consistient size #190385Thanks Yigit, that worked but I noticed it stretches the image on one of them and the more recent image is cropped vertically. Also as the screen size is made smaller the image just gets narrower but height stays the same.
This option might be better, is it possible to make sure the entire image shows without being cropped and no matter what the height? This way I can just adjust the image heights prior to uploading to all be the same.
Hi guys,
Just wondering if there has been any further insight on this as still not working on IE8 on my end.
Thanks!
Nevermind, it works – was just that I needed a semi-colon after 100% instead of the colon shown. Thank you!
I tried but it didn’t seem to change anything – did I not do it correctly? The iframe was implemented by inserting the code into a text box within a colour section.

If you look at my blog page and at the post pages the images between the two posts show at different proportions. Is there a way to standardize the proportion?

JonathanHi Josue,
Thanks so much for looking into this. The test you did actually appears fine! If you look at the boxes next to the dollar slider in yours they are next to each other and in mine they are misaligned. Also, as you make yours mobile size it responds appropriately. So I guess this means it is an issue within my site? How can I ensure the iframe shows at 100% width?
Thanks, really appreciate this as I need to get this setup as soon as possible!

Need consistient size #189975Hi, I’m also having the same issue on my site. Will post link below in private msg.
Hi! Please let me know a fix for this at your earliest opportunity. I need to make sure this can be implemented correctly asap. Really appreciate it =)

That helped, thank you!
Hi guys, sorry to be a pain but the logo looks really bad in IE8 – hoping there is still a solution here.
Thanks!
Thanks Devin, I tried that but it still had the issue. I’ve narrowed it down. A couple weeks ago you guys gave me a fix for flickering text in Safari so I added the below code to custom.css:
/* flickering text fix*/ .avia_textblock, .avia-icon-list, .avia-button, .avia-testimonial, .iconbox, .avia_message_box, .avia-team-member, .widget, .post, .team-img-container img, .team-social, .iconlist_icon, .fallback-post-type-icon, .fullsize .related_posts, .grid-image, .avia-caption-content, .avia-caption-title, .entry-content-wrapper, .avia_start_animation { -webkit-perspective: 1000; -webkit-backface-visibility: hidden; }This fixed the flickering text but I guess since then (noticed more recently) I had the fuzzy text issue only in blog posts and only on iPhone. You guys helped narrow this down to flickering text code. So I went and removed the “.post,” line from the fix above. This corrected the fuzzy text issue and also that wasn’t an area that was affected by flickering text, so all is good now.
Thanks guys for your help as always!
Best,
JonathanHi, just wondering if you guys have figured out a solution to this? Really hoping I can fix it soon as it doesn’t look great.
Thank you!
Hi guys,
I think I know why it didn’t work for me. I have a “flickering text” fix in my custom css that Kriesi helped me with a couple weeks back. So even though I removed from shortcodes.css I still have another instance in my custom.css. I don’t want to remove as it is fixing flickering text on my main page which is more important. Unless there is a way to have both issues corrected at the same time I will leave as is for now.
I’ve tagged Kriesi here as well.
Thanks!
Unfortunately we’re back to where it started now =(
Logo is still cutoff. Any other suggestions?
It worked, but unfortunately reintroduced the logo scaling on scroll down. What else do I need to include to ensure logo stays the same size?
Thanks Ismael! Do I replace the below with your code or put it in addition to?
.logo img { min-height: 58px !important; height: auto} .logo > a { max-height: 58px !important; } .logo img, .logo a { max-height: 58px !important; }Thanks – TinyMCE added the kitchen sink. I don’t know why it wasn’t there before but it is now. And thanks for the code re font size. You may close this thread!
Thanks for taking the time to make this. Yeah, very weird as logo is cutoff on all the IE8 setups I’ve tried. I look forward to a solution! Can anyone else replicate it on your end?
Thanks Ismael. How come the kitchen sink button doesn’t appear in my toolbar? I only get one line of tools with no toggle button for the styles line.
