Hi Josue,
This didn’t seem to work well unfortunately. When I insert as an image in the txt box there was space around it and it didn’t respond fluidly to size changes – would stay small when screen was made larger again. I then tried inserting into an image element within the colour box and it seemed to respond better but then when made to mobile size there was a big white space as the image was thinner than the minimum height of a colour element.
Any other options? Is there no standard way of creating a banner image outside of a slider script?
Many thanks,
JonathanThanks! And will this also ensure that the height is dynamic as well?
Thanks Kriesi,
I tried this but only problem is that then it doesn’t behave like the slider – it’s not responsive, etc. Are there any other options?
Best,
JonathanThanks Ismael – yes that’s because I added “img” to my custom css.
I have custom stylings for these images for alignment, before when they weren’t showing, one (for example) was written as:
#widget_sp_image-2{ margin-left:-65px !important; margin-top:10px !important; float:left !important; }That didn’t work, but the one image that did had “img” in the code, so I changed to be the following:
#widget_sp_image-2 img{ margin-left:-65px !important; margin-top:10px !important; float:left !important; }Now they work. What did adding the “img” change that would fix this?
Thanks for your help.
Adding “img” before the “{” in my custom stylings where I was aligning the images worked to fix this but changed the alignment. What does this do?
Thank you and thanks for understanding!
Best,
JonathanI haven’t tried yet, sorry it’s been a very busy week =)
I have someone writing an article on our company and it’s getting published any day now, so I don’t want to mess with the site too much. And I won’t be able to provide access to my server unfortunately, as I’m sure you can understand. If an easier fix comes out in the meantime please let me know, otherwise I hope to have a chance to revisit soon.
Best,
JonathanOk, will do. Thank you. I have someone writing an article due to come out in the next few days on my business, so I will play around with this after that traffic calms down. I will let you know once I do.
Best,
JonathanHi, just checking to see if this was looked into further?
Kriesi, I’d rather not provide access to our server if avoidable – nothing personal, just a comfort thing. I hope your understand. Is there another option?
Best,
JonathanWorked perfectly! Thanks so much. You guys are amazing.
Best,
JonathanIsmael, do I need to edit the functions.php file? I prefer to make sure any changes I make are only in custom.css otherwise I need to keep track of everything when updating.
This won’t work if I don’t add that line to functions.php?
Best,
JonathanAfter some more reading, found this to be an unchanged link in the “incoming links” section of the dashboard.
Best,
JonathanOk, thanks Ismael. I won’t be able to look at this until later in the week. But I will try your suggestion and be back soon! Please keep this open and thank you for the help.
Hi Devin,
OSX v10.8.5 and Safari v6.0.5.
Already updated the stylesheet and it fixed other issues but not this one.
Best,
JonathanSorry but won’t be able to look at this until later in the week. I will be back soon! Please keep this open and thank you for the help.
Ok, great thanks. Seems to be fine. This actually also cleared up another issue that was being discussed here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/whitespace-above-image/
Feel free to close!
Best,
JonathanA fix for another problem in Firefox cleared up this issue as well. Can be seen here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/firefox-image-placement/#post-171789
Thanks for your help and feel free to close.
Worked, thank you. Will this have a negative impact on any other part of the site and in any other browser?
This reply has been marked as private. Also, nope no large screen. 13 inch macAir.
You mentioned in the other thread that I can insert the below:
.flex_column.av_one_half.avia-builder-el-29.el_after_av_one_half {
margin-top: 20px;
}What does this do? How does it know to only add whitespace above that one image? Will this affect anything else?
You can close this thread as these are being dealt with in separate threads now. Thanks so much.
I removed the whitespace as it didn’t look good at all, sorry. I would like to add back in though. Was testing with OSX 10.8.5 on FF 19.0.2.
In another thread, Devin responded “FF seems to have an issue with the HR element floating and the image under it not.” Just didn’t get anywhere as there were a few issues in that one thread, so I broke them out into separate ones. Thanks for your help with this and the others Ismael.
I notice flickering on all text elements, all sizes and styles, even if not bold. It’s just more noticeable when bold. Is there an easy way to apply the above to all text?
Sorry didn’t understand the below:
“Edit the Color Sections that you want to the shadow1 image as background then scroll below. Add a unique css selector on “Custom Css Class” field. For example, add “section-shadow1″.”
Thats really weird, I’ve seen it on two computers and they don’t show! =(

You can see throughout at times, but very clearly at the 0:50 mark in the bold text of “A Brilliant Way to Buy a Diamond”.
Many thanks,
JonathanWorks! Thanks for all the help so far. You can close this thread!
Ok, that worked thank you! One last thing though – on the /education page there is one instance of h2 that i would like to keep at the default size. How do I make sure the global custom.css edit doesn’t affect that one instance?
