Jas, I had not, since their site is pretty clear that support for bundled copies should go through the bundler. But I can try.
Kriesi, thanks for uploading that older version. It does seem to be working and I’m not doing anything fancy. I guess I should hold off on upgrading my other site to 2.6 because I am using a LayerSlider there as well.
Let’s see if Kreatura can figure it out.

FYI I also checked that the wp_layerslider database table was OK. It is.
Never mind. The server is running 5.3.x, the info screen is incorrect. Confirmed with the hosting company.
OK, this may be an issue. The server is running PHP 4.4.7!
I browsed the LayerSlider plugin support comments and didn’t see anything recent about Enfold. I did see a comment about a blank editing environment (which is what I’m seeing as well) being cause by DOMXML extensions not being present on the server, but it looks like those are enabled on my server:
DOM/XML enabled
DOM/XML API Version 20020815
libxml Version 20620
HTML Support enabled
XPath Support enabled
XPointer Support enabledSo I’m still stuck.
Don’t know if it’s related. Both of those features (Full Width Easy Slider and up arrow) are working on my site after the upgrade. My problem seems isolated to the LayerSlider WP plugin.
OK, thanks, no rush. Sleep tight!
Mine’s still broken. Can’t even get to those settings to try them. Looks like someone from Kriesi tried rolling my version of LayerSlider back to 5.0.2, but that has not changed anything.
I updated the theme from the Appearance > Theme page. I’m fairly sure that the Layerslider menu item has always been the only way I can access that plugin. I don’t recall ever seeing it show up in the plugins menu. I have another copy of your theme running at http://www.go-factory.com (not updated to 2.6 yet) and that is the case there as well.

This reply has been marked as private. When I use the Javascript console in Chrome on the Edit Slider page in Layerslider WP (i.e. I go to one of my sliders in the list and try to edit it) I get nothing where the edit functionality should be, and the console reports this:
Consider using ‘dppx’ units instead of ‘dpi’, as in CSS ‘dpi’ means dots-per-CSS-inch, not dots-per-physical-inch, so does not correspond to the actual ‘dpi’ of a screen. In media query expression: print, not all, (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.25), (min-resolution: 120dpi) admin.php?page=layerslider&action=edit&id=4:22

Posted credential for an admin on my site. Note that I removed the Advanced Layerslider on the home page (Eichler Home) and replaced it with a Full Screen Easy Slider, since this is a live site. But feel free to edit the page to try the Advanced Slider; just remove it when you’re done. Since I’m seeing a problem with even editing the Layersliders in its own console, that’s an easy place to start.
This reply has been marked as private. This might be related: If I try to edit a slider in the LayerSlider interface, it comes up with a blank page. This is true for the included Enfold Sliders as well.
This is true on Safari, Firefox, and Chrome, btw. (I will be removing that element, but let me know if you want me to add it back it to debug)
I’m also having a problem with Advanced Layer Slider under 2.6. My home page at eichlerclub.com breaks if the LayerSlider element is on the page. I can remove the element everything works. If I add it back in, even with the default slider, the only think that appears on the page is the header. The rest of the page only shows the background color. Even the WordPress toolbar at the top is blanked.
Thanks, I’ll give it a try.
Thanks! I was baffled, but your test prompted me to dig deeper. It was the images. I think they were too large. They were scans at 1200 dpi and about 4mb each. WordPress Gallery did handle them, but the theme Gallery could not. I saved them at a smaller size and they work.
I did notice some issues with the Gallery however. The big preview and thumbnails have some funny behaviors. For example, when I chose 36×36 for the thumbnails, it did seem to use that size, but insisted on blowing them up to about 150×150 on the page itself. At least in Preview mode. But I can work around this or use Justified Image Grid plugin.
I think this is the same problem I’m having. Posted in a separate thread about it.
