Hi Nikko
I have tried a different Search plugin on the production site which works ok. However, I cannot align the categories dropdown box vertically with the Search Field and Search Button. The Search author says it is a theme issue.
Please would you help me with the CSS to align the Categories Dropdown vertically?
Thank you.
Hi Nikko
Just a quick update:
I’ve deactivated the Plugin in question. I’ve removed the CSS you added to remove the padding on the Archive Thumbnails. Everything looks fine.
However, the Search still does not work with the Dropdown Taxonomies.
Is there anything else we can do?
Best
ChristianAlso Nikko, I see the Search by Dropdown Taxonomy does not yield any result, only Searching by keyword gives a result. Is that a related issue?
Thank you.
Hi Nikko
Thanks very much for this.
However, when I disable the Profile Press plugin the CSS is a bit messed up. The Properties archive have lost their thumbail images and the Search Dropdowns do not work correctly. Shall I try removing the CSS you added previously? Will you take a quick look?
Thanks so much.
Hi Nikko
Thanks for this.
I could try a different advance search plugin eg Jetsearch but I guess best to wait till you find what’s causing the wrong query as an different search might get the same no result.
Thanks again.Hi Nikko
I’ve set you up as an sftp user. Please see details below. Very grateful for assistance.

Thank you so much for this.
I have one more request which may be related to the theme.
I have used the combination of Search From and Custom Posts on another website successfully. However, here in Enfold theme the Search is not pulling any results from the taxonomies created in my Custom Posts:
https://mcollstaging.wpengine.com/property/
After Searching the results page gives no results but is named “Christian’s Profile”. This is my username so it seems like search is not searching Post Taxonomies but something else !? Does that make any sense?
I’d really appreciate your help here.
Thank you
Hi Mike
Thanks that’s perfect!

CJHi Rikard
Thanks for this. Works great for mobile – the hamburger icon is vertically centred.
However – sorry last question – the hamburger icon does not respond to the following CSS for Tablet screens. It drops lower between 768px and 1024px !
@media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
.responsive #header_main .container {
height: 70px !important;
}
.responsive .logo a {
vertical-align: top !important;
}
.responsive .logo img {
max-height: 70px !important;
}
}
@media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
.responsive #top #wrap_all .main_menu {
top: -5px;
}
}Would you be able to help with the CSS for the top value for Tablet screens?
Thank you!
Hi Rikard
Sorry, my CSS had disappeared for some reason.
Currently I have the following CSS:
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.responsive #header_main .container {
height: 60px !important;
}
.responsive .logo a {
vertical-align: top !important;
}
.responsive .logo img {
max-height: 60px !important;
}
}This works nicely in mobile view.
I have added the CSS below but it does not affect the hamburger icon which is not vertically aligned in mobile view. It is too low.
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.responsive #top #wrap_all .main_menu {
top: 0;
height: 60px;
left: auto;
right: 0;
display: block;
position: absolute;
}
}Thank you.
Thanks Rikard
That work well for the header height and logo but the hamburger menu icon needs vertical alignment also. Please could you help with the CSS to adjust the hamburger menu icon?
Thanks!
Hi Rikard
Thanks very much for this.
This CSS moves the menu items up but it does not remove the bottom padding in the menu bar so the height of the bar does not reduce.
Does that make sense?
Thank you.
Hi Rikard
Yes correct. Closer to the bottom of the header. Basically, reduce the padding top and bottom of the menu bar.
That would be great.

Hi Jordan
Here is a Page Title Bar that is quite large. I’d be grateful for the CSS to adjust its height.
Thanks
ChristianHi Jordan
Thank you for that.
CJHey Vinay
I’ve worked the layout out – no problem.

ChristianHey thanks Vinay
Just to understand your demo:
Is this Shortcode Demo Page a series of normal pages for each shortcode each with the same right sidebar? And is that sidebar made with the Navigation Menu Widget?
I’d like to make a similar set up.
Thanks!
CJHi Victoria
Thanks for getting back to me.
Here is a post:
I’ve checked Big Featured Image in the Theme Options. However, my featured image is 1:1 aspect ratio and I would like to display it in original aspect ratio, not in the default aspect ratio.
My posts are all likely to have different shaped images so it is important going forward.
Thank you very much.
CJ
Hi Rikard
Thanks very much for this.
That CSS moves the menu up, affecting the top margin/padding but it does not affect the bottom margin. It seems to move the menu items up within the bar but the bar is still the same height. You’ll see here:
Is there a workaround?
Many thanks
Hi Jordan
Here’s a screenshot showing the menu bar selected with a blue border by Firebug – the bar containing the menu items:
https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/2945279/76e86b4cc5debdc765e0065d8ee5f4fa
It’s that menu bar that I’d like to make narrower, change colour and add a border-top.
Hope that’s clear! Thanks
CJHi!
Thanks for that.
I think I’ll wait for the next update. I think many users are hoping that you will upgrade the mobile menu experience soon!
Many thanks
Christian
Hi there
Thank you for this. I will try and understand it fully!
If I only want to replace the old mobile menu dotted icon with the new hamburger icon could I achieve this with CSS?
Thank you.
Christian
Hi
Actually both would be great.
Thank you.
Christian
Hi Guenni
Thanks for you message.
How did you achieve the menu on your site https://webers-testseite.de/elegant/
I would love to know!!
Thanks
Christian
Hi Jordan
Yes correct. And I think this is the most requested feature on Enfold at the moment!
Two scenarios:
1. Normal text menu on desktop
At tablet and mobile the menu switches to the new hamburger icon, not the old dotted icon and menu.2. New hamburger Icon menu on desktop
At tablet and mobile the menu remains the same new hamburger icon.Having gone through many threads this upgraded mobile menu/header feature would really nail the competition for Enfold!
If there’s a workaround for now, great, but look forward to a theme update on this.
Thanks
Christian
Hi there
Just adding my two pence as they say in the UK.
Enfold is terrific theme and so fast to build. It was everything that you need. The only area that could use a little improved, as mentioned above, is the mobile screen navigation. Really look forward to an update on the mobile menu icon, navigation style.
And also it would be super good to be able to manually set columns at Tablet size (like you can do with Visual Composer). Very often it’s helpful to break to a single column at Tablet size but there is no option to do this in your theme.
Look forward to resolving both these key mobile friendly issues.
Thanks!!
Christian
Hi Jordan
Thanks for this. I’ve tried putting that code in the functions.php file but the old icon is still there – no change.
Would you guys consider this as a key feature update given the importance of mobile screen view?
Is there any other workaround?
Thanks
ChristianOh and here’s the WP login…
Hi Jordan
Thanks for your message.
On this site the desktop hamburger reverts to the old mobile menu and mobile menu icon in mobile view. I was hoping that Enfold might change this behaviour to feature the new hamburger menu on all screen views.
Is there a workaround possibly to retain the new burger icon and menu on all screen views?
Thanks!

Hi Guys
You might be interested to see my solution to placing Standalone Icon + Caption to the left:
.av_font_icon.av-icon-style-border .av-icon-char {
padding: 0px;
}
.av_font_icon {
display: block;
text-align: left;
}
#top .av_font_icon a {
display: inline;
}
.av_icon_caption {
display: block;
font-size: 15px;
font-weight: 400;
line-height: 1.3em;
margin-top: 20px;
text-align: left;
text-transform: uppercase;
}Works well!
You can close this thread now
Thanks
