Thanks Rikard, you can close the the topic.
Thank you Ismael!
That line of code is already in magazine.php, so I moved down to line 1478 and changed ‘small’ to ‘big’ … and it worked!
So, a big thank once again.Jane
April 6, 2021 at 2:06 pm in reply to: Space between stacked grid rows, and padding on contained elements #1292779Hi Rikard
Have managed to eliminate all extra space inside grid cells, so all that’s left to eliminate is the extra space between each grid row. There are four rows. I used relative positioning to get them into the right places, using the following styles …
#anniv-carousel-top-row { left: -50px; width:106%; }
#anniv-carousel-second-row { left: 14%; width: 80%; height: 25%; position: relative; top: 5px; }
#anniv-carousel-third-row { left: 0px; width:100%; position: relative; top: -35px; }
#anniv-carousel-fourth-row { left: 80px; width: 80%; height: 25%; position: relative; top: -75px; }So, when you follow the link below, you should see the page looking OK. But I can’t help thinking that doing it with relative positioning is asking for trouble when it comes to handling the responsive behaviour. Could you let me know how to eliminate the space between grid rows via margin adjustment before I launch into working on the tablet and mobile versions?
Many thanks
April 1, 2021 at 6:29 pm in reply to: Space between stacked grid rows, and padding on contained elements #1291865Hello again
Still trying to get the grid rows to move up under each other. I suspect the extra space is being caused by padding/margin below the Blog Post sliders that are inside some of the cells (ie, the extra space is inside the cells). Have tried setting 0 padding/margin on every combination of post slider classes I can find, but no joy. Please could you let me know if Blog Post sliders have margins set, and if so how to change them.
I have realised that the css in the earlier message is not affecting the grid row spacing. How can I also set that padding/margin?
Many thanks
OK, thanks for your help Nikko. You can close the thread now.
Jane
Thanks Nikko
Flushed the cache, turned off CSS file merging and ensured I have no caching plug-ins. No joy.
Moved to a different computer and browser, still no joy. But then I decided to edit Enfold’s layout.css file directly … which worked. And inexplicably, the child’s css file then also started to have an effect. Weird.Should I restore the CSS file merging?
Thanks for your help.
Jane
Many thanks Ismael, I appreciate your help. Will implement and see how we go.
You can close the ticket.Jane
Thanks Yigit! Works perfectly. Terrific theme support, as ever.
Brilliant, thanks Dude, much appreciated.
Jane
Thanks Nikko
There is some improvement, in that the accordion is now at least closed on loading. However, the layout on the page is not correct — the toggle buttons are out of position and the toggle content is spaced away from its heading. Anything more we can do?
Login credentials unchanged. But if you need FTP, let me know so I can unlock the site.Many thanks
Jane
Thanks Victoria. Sorry about the delay in getting back to you.
I have re-uploaded the javascript files, as you suggested. No change.
I don’t think this can be the issue in any case, as the site accordians were working fine after the initial upload. They only stopped working after a domain transfer done through the ISP’s auto service, which involved some database work by the ISP’s techs. Possibly a coincidence but it doesn’t look to me as if the uploaded theme version is the issue.
Any other suggestions?Many thanks, Jane
Hi there again
The ftp issue has now been solved, and is not related to the accordian problem. So, we need to look at why the accordians are fixed in the ‘open’ position. Login details in the private area.
Thanks again
Hi Basilis. Your request prompted me to check that the ftp settings are working correctly, and they are not … we have had some domain linking problems with this site. As this may well be the cause of the accordian issue (domain issues caused other layout problems now fixed), let me sort that first. I’ll lodge a ticket with the host and get back to you with log in details once they are done.
Thank you.

All works brilliantly, thanks very much.

February 8, 2017 at 11:32 am in reply to: How to change width of left sidebar with logo/menu #744304Right-oh, thanks very much Vinay. Am now in transit between countries and will try this out as soon as I can and report back.
Jane
Thanks Ismael. I will use rickyporco’s suggestion for the moment and see how we go.
Jane
Thanks very much for that. I agree, not an ideal solution, but better than none for the moment. If my client doesn’t like the result, I may get some code written to correct the issue, and if I do, I’ll let you know.
Hi there
I am wondering if you found a solution for this issue — I am having the same problem
Many thanks

April 22, 2016 at 4:45 am in reply to: Enfold's accordian slider – adding more than one link to each pane #619477Thanks Rikard, see link below.
The three big circles are placed using an accordian slider (they occupy the LH side of bigger slider pics that are otherwise white, so disappear into the background). I want to set each slider image to “no link” (currently not an option), then I can use the title and caption texts (only one line of text on there at the moment, but more are planned) to add a series of text links to various other pages that show up on mouseover. I can do the latter myself but don’t know how to remove the overall link set up for the whole slider image.
(If you add a link in the caption text in the current set up, it breaks the accordian, presumably because it puts a link inside a link)
Thanks
October 15, 2015 at 1:37 pm in reply to: Controlling the height of a LayerSlider using a media query #519283Thanks again Andy. I also added ….
.ls-slide { min-height: 140px !important; }
and that combined with the styles you sent cracked it! Hurray!
I think “ls-slide” is the one controlling the size of the viewing area allowed for the image and text, so setting it too eliminated the image cut-off effect.Brillian theme and brilliant support. Cheers!

October 13, 2015 at 4:09 pm in reply to: Controlling the height of a LayerSlider using a media query #518148Many thanks Andy. These worked very well in relation to the font size, but not so well for the portrait. The effect looked like the image height was indeed being maintain but not the width (making the image looked squeezed). But in any case, it was cropped by the ‘view area’ (don’t know what else to call it), which was still the mini size …. i.e. it would seem that there’s a space allowed for the image controlled by a class or code somewhere, which is separate from the sizing of the image itself. Hmm.
Have kept all your styling except the img one. Not exactly looking the way it should but more acceptable on a mobile than when I started. At the least the type can be read. If anything else occurs to you, I’d gladly try it.
October 12, 2015 at 6:02 pm in reply to: Controlling the height of a LayerSlider using a media query #517555By the way, I have had to restore the settings, as this site is live, so you won’t see the min-height affect at the address I gave, I’m sorry.
October 12, 2015 at 5:55 pm in reply to: Controlling the height of a LayerSlider using a media query #517552Thanks again Andy. One step closer. The background to the slider is now displaying at the right min-height, but nothing I have tried will get the slide content (image and text) to conform to a min height. A percentage minimum would do as well. Any ideas on that?
October 12, 2015 at 12:38 pm in reply to: Controlling the height of a LayerSlider using a media query #517303Thanks Andy, but no visible effect! I can get the height of the space allowed for the slider to enlarge, but not the slider itself.
Cheers
JaneOctober 8, 2015 at 3:47 pm in reply to: Controlling the height of a LayerSlider using a media query #515904Sorry Andy, the client re-set the URL designations this morning. New address attached below. Still not found a suitable solution for a min-height.
October 6, 2015 at 10:34 pm in reply to: Controlling the height of a LayerSlider using a media query #514825Hey Basilis. Yes, I’ve tried that too but haventn’t been able to set a min-height. Perhaps I’m targeting the wrong style?
Brilliant, thanks very much Elliott
