Hi Rikard,
The problem is, that the website is down once I carry out the update. And I have neither the knowledge nor the webspace to create a copy of the site (this is what you mean with a staging site, aren’t you?). So how can we arrange this so that downtime is reduced to a minimum?
ThanksYes – please close the ticket. Thank you!
Hi Mike,
Thanks a lot – this hint helped! Thanks for your great support – as always…Hi Mike,
No adblocker installed.
But the problem has also been confirmed by Victoria and Rikard. Thus I am glad that the site works on your end, but I still know that there still is a problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks!Hi Victora,
Sorry, but I still am not allowed to provide access to the backend. But of course I can provide any screenshot of settings. Just let me know what you would like to see.
Thanks for your understanding…This reply has been marked as private.Hi Rikard,
Sorry, but I am not allowed to provide login data. I can copy any seetings or send you pictures of settings as long as you let me know what exactly you want to see..
Thanks for your understanding!Oh my goodness – I must have been blind. I was looking there for settings, too, but must have overread this… Thank you so much!!!
Sorry – need to bother you with the code, too.
I can change
'columns' => 3
in order to change the number of columns. But I haven’t found anything within the archive.php which sets the number of posts to 10. No 10 included anywhere within the whole file. May you please give me a hint what I should be looking for?Thank you!
Hi Victoria,
Thanks for the prompt answer!!!
That means I have to download the archive.php from the enfold folder, change it – and reupload it to the enfold-child order. Is that right?
Best regards,Thanks for explaining! Please close the ticket.

Thanks for your efforts. I tried again very hard, but still do not understand where the code is wrong. I’ll solve this otherwise. Please close the ticket.

Hi Ismael,
Thanks for your message! But I still didn’t got this:
If they are not classified as non-essential cookies – then they are classified as essential cookies? Can I influence this?
The cookie banner options offer to turn off both “essential cookies” as well as “non-essential cookies”. But none option has influence on these ones. Does that mean they are some sort of “third classification” in between of essential and non-essential? Could be difficult to understand by users if I am right with this. What do you think?
And how can I make sure that they are not set on first page load if they are not essential and not non-essential? Should be a GDPR conform solution as we are located in Germany…
Thank you!

Sorry, but unfirtunately I am not allowed to do that. But I can create screenshots of whatever you would like to see. Just let me know which ones I should create.
Thank you!June 11, 2020 at 7:01 pm in reply to: How to create a new shortcode for text including a link #1221874Hi Victoria,
Thank you for the link which I carefully read (among many others I had googled myself). But this still does not help. Can you confirm if it is possible to include a link with HREF in a shortcode? Or is this simply not possible?
Thank you!!!June 11, 2020 at 4:38 pm in reply to: Read-More text for blog entries missing on home when using Avia Layout Architec #1221768Hi Victoria,
OK – let’s disregard the Dreamweaver message.
But there still does not show up any read more text. And how about the error message when trying to open a categorie overview page on the website?
Any suggestions on that?
Thank you!June 11, 2020 at 4:36 pm in reply to: Add a link in the footer in order to change the cookie-settings #1221764THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ticket can be closed :-)Hi Ismael,
Thanks again for your detailed description! This helped a lot in understanding.
Are these additional custom cookies automatically non-essential cookies? Or can I somehow influence this?
Or can I influence otherwise if they are activated or deactivated on first page load???My idea is: Using the cookie logic, but hiding the cookie message bar by adding this in the function.php as mentioned in the documentation:
add_theme_support( “avia_gdpr_permanent_hide_message_bar” );But neither the test with https://webbkoll.dataskydd.net nor the developer tool in my browser does show a different cookie behaviour when following these instructions. And I also have the problem that when I check with https://www.cookiebot.com these cookies are still not classified.
Hope you can help with these settings?
Thank you!
June 10, 2020 at 10:48 pm in reply to: Read-More text for blog entries missing on home when using Avia Layout Architec #1221440Hi Victoria,
I have copied archive.php from Enfold and added it in Enfold-Child (or do I have to add an empty file in the Child folder?).
Then I have added in archive.php
'contents' => 'excerpt_read_more',
Dreamweaver returns this remark: Dynamically-related fioles cannot not be discovered bevause there is no sote definiteion for this document” and “No syntax errors”
After upload of the updated archive.php to the Child theme I still have no read-more text on home.
And when opening a category overview page I get the error message “Es gab einen kritischen Fehler auf deiner Website. Erfahre mehr über die Fehlerbehebung in WordPress. https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/”Any other suggestions?
Thank you!

Best regardsJune 10, 2020 at 10:12 pm in reply to: Add a link in the footer in order to change the cookie-settings #1221431Hi Victoria,
Thanks – that helps. Button is available now.
Unfortunately it is white text on white background and therefore just readable with mouseover. How can I change text color or even better the background color of the button?
In Enfold > Advanced Styling > Cookie Consent Bar there is no element which has influence on the style of this button.
Enfold > General Styling > Footer > Primary Color would change the text color, but not only for the button, but for the whole footer. As my footers background color is (besides the button background) dark this does not help either…
Thank you!
Hi Victoria,
Thanks for the links. But none of them explains the difference between
third option “User must accept and must opt in, only essential cookies are selected”
and
fourth option “Essential cookies are accepted on first page load, user must opt in”May you please explain as also the documentation does not help either…
Thank you!
Hi Victoria,
Something like a logfileJune 8, 2020 at 4:07 pm in reply to: Read-More text for blog entries missing on home when using Avia Layout Architec #1220509Hi Victoria,
I have added the code from your link (see complete code of my function.php in the private content). But still the read-more-text does not show up on home of my site.
Have I misunderstood what to add in my functions.php?
Thank you!!!

Hi Ismael,
As these are not “essential cookies” (the site would definitely run without them) I have to give the user the option to turn them off. And this is not done by the cookie banner. Even if you accept “just essential cookies” on the banner this cookie as well as the third-party-requests remain active. And therefore I definitely have to find another solutiuon…

June 6, 2020 at 7:17 pm in reply to: Read-More text for blog entries missing on home when using Avia Layout Architec #1220072Hi Victoria,
Thanks for your message! I have added this code in the function.php
add_filter('avf_blog_style','avia_change_category_blog_layout', 10, 2); function avia_change_category_blog_layout($layout, $context){ if($context == 'archive') $layout = 'blog-grid'; return $layout; }
Unfortunately there is still no read-more text.
And are you sure that this is the category page? I am really talking about my blog overview page – where all blog posts are shown. Or is it really necessary to install a plugin in order to get a read-more text for these posts?
Thank you!
June 3, 2020 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Blog entry does look weird when using Avia Layout Architect #1219119Hi Ismael,
Thanks for your reply.
1.) As you can see in “Preview Content – separator missing.jpg” the separator is missing.
If you mean with “Snippet” the code I have added on the function.php, then please double check as this is not included in my code. Function.php is also in the downloadlink I have provided (and which is copied in the private content again).
But as the comma currently does not show up I’d assume that I first have to add some code before I replace it.2.) Keywords can be added for any blog entry. Please recheck screenshot “keywords.jpg” which I have added to the download link. In German it is “Schlagworte”. The sections in the English version should have the same sequence as the ones in the English version. But I am pretty sure that keywords is the correct English translation.
3.) I will issue a new ticket for the read more text as requested.
Thanks
Hi Ismael,
Seems like I took a step forward: They are caused by the webapplication firewall which is included in Plesk (Atomic Secured Linux by Atomicorp – https://atomicorp.com/atomic-secured-linux-now-available-plesk-users/). When I turn this firewall off both Third-Party-Requests as well as one cookie are deactivated.
My hoster told me that it seems that this happens on Plesk with all WordPress installations (but e.g. not with Joomla installations).
I have contacted Atomicorp in order to find out what these Third-Party-Requests as well as the cookie are doing. But I was just told that I will have either pay 225$ for a one-year-support-license or have to pay 150$ per hour as such questions are not covered under my license (which is the Plesk license as the software if delivered with Plesk).
If there is anybody out there with such a license who would be willing to ask this question for me I would really be happy. Turning off a firewall probably is not a good idea. But accepting Third-Party-Requests and Cookies of which you do not know what they are doing might not be a good idea in Europe in times of GDPR either.
But to make a long story short: This is not an Enfold issue. I’d appreciate if you could leave the ticket open for comments anyhow in case there is somebody who could help me with this Atomicorp ticket. But no action necessary from your side.
Thank you!!!!
Best regards…
May 31, 2020 at 10:15 am in reply to: Blog entry does look weird when using Avia Layout Architect #1218155Hi Ismael,
Thanks a lot – this article helped a lot. But I still have problems with this:
1.) When there is more than one categorie – how do I get a separator between the categories (see green marking in screenshot Preview Content – separator missing.jpg). Result should look like this:
category 1, category 2
or
category 1 | category 22.) Could not find a code for a shortcode for the keywords of a blog article. Could you please help me with this, too. Would be perfect to have a separator between the keywords as I was asking above for the categories.
3.) And I still have problems with the read-more-text on home. I have entered a read-more-tag (see screenshot Read-More-Tag.jpg). But still no content text at all does show up on home (see screenshot Home.jpg).
Thank you so much!!!!
Regards
