Yeah, feel free to close this thread :-)
Thanks,
– James.Ah never mind, I got it to work by not using the OptimizePress plugin to create the new page, but instead doing it within the WordPress admin area.
Thanks though – will keep the above in mind for the future.
Have a great weekend,
– James. Why would it require a lot of time simply to create one page within a child theme? What would I need to do?
If you could give me a quick outline, I’ll be able to see whether it’s worth hiring someone to do.
Thanks,
– James. Thanks Rikard! No idea why it wasn’t working for me, but it seems to be fixed now.
Thanks!
– James.Hey,
Ah – it didn’t save you as an administrator when I created the profile. I’ve just changed it, so you should now be able to go to the URL in the private data to get in.
Thanks,
– James.Just tested this and it’s working fine:
Sure! See below.
Thanks John, but what do you mean by “yes two redirect to the same URL”? Could you clarify?
I’m basically just trying to remove the 1-2 second flash of an empty grey background.
Thanks,
– James.Another issue is that when my pages load, they show as solid grey (the background, I think) – sometimes for as long as 2-3 seconds – before loading the actual content. You can see what I mean at http://www.digitalprosperity.com/the-prosperity-formula .
Is this delay fixable somehow? As that time is harming conversion rates for my prospects on slower connections.
Thanks,
– James.Ah that’s weird, it’s working now! Guess it was a temporary issue of some kind.
Thanks!
– James.Hey Nikko,
I disabled the Enfold theme from loading on the front-end and back-end by hovering over OptmizePress in the left menu within the wp-admin area, then “Support”. Then go to “Disable Scripts and Styles”, then click “Theme Styles and Scripts” at the bottom. Finally, you can check or uncheck the options there. That should get the error happening again. But please put it back to how it was after you’ve finished troubleshooting.
Thanks!
– James.I didn’t really get it working, as disabling the theme from loading altogether isn’t really a long-term fix… So any idea how to get this fixed properly?
Also, I cleared my cache and that didn’t fix it :-(
Thanks,
– James.Hey Victoria,
I fixed the issue by disabling the Enfold theme from using on pages created with OptimizePress. So that’s a workaround for now.
I disabled the minification plugins when identifying the error, so it isn’t that. I literally used a different theme and it started working, so it’s definitely something in Enfold.
I’m not using LayerSlider on the page, so not sure why it’s getting called. Maybe that’s what’s causing the JS conflict?
Thanks,
– James.Update: This shows in the error console…

Hey Victoria,
Sure!
1) Log in as an admin using the private details in my previous post.
2) Edit the page at https://www.digitalprosperity.com/the-prosperity-formula/ using the admin toolbar at the top.
3) Click “Launch Now” under the “Live Editor” column, in the OptimizePress tab.
4) Hover over the top line of text “Online marketing expert…” and click the pencil icon on the right. You can see the editing box doesn’t load.
Then if you close the editing window, none of the buttons work, and the only way of fixing it is to reload the page again.
Let me know if you need any more clarification :-)
Thanks!
– James.Hey Basilis,
I’ve updated the theme to the latest version AND turned off the cache plugin, and when seeing the home page for the first time in an incognito window (i.e. with no cache), the articles area still doesn’t show at all. It’s not a matter of it being slow, it’s that it doesn’t display however long I wait and however many times I scroll past it. See for yourself in an incognito window here: https://www.digitalprosperity.com .
I also did enter the code, but maybe the cache plugin was stopping it from showing up for you. Please check again.
Thanks,
– James.Everything looks pretty similar to what I showed you in the video…
1) The articles grid below “Check Out Our Latest Articles” at https://www.digitalprosperity.com still isn’t showing on the user’s first page load (meaning they have to refresh the page to see it).
2) The bottom menu still has a vertical scrollbar when the window is resized, and also the two top links get pushed to the side when the window is resized even smaller.
Can we get these fixed please?
Thanks,
– James.Ok I just did that – thanks. What’s next?
Thanks,
– James.Ok I’ve just done that (changing the typo of “widht” to “width”). What’s next?
Thanks,
– James.I’m viewing the website in Incognito mode, meaning it doesn’t save a cache or any temporary files.
Did you watch the video I recorded for you, which explains what I’m referring to? It’s at https://youtu.be/3vTlp9EUjkA . As I noticed you didn’t answer the other question in there too, about the articles section.
Thanks,
– James.Any help? As it’s been almost 6 days now…
Thanks,
– James. Thanks for this Vinay, although that’s still not fixed it 100% and also introduced another problem.
I’ve recorded a quick video to show you what I mean (make sure your sound is on): https://youtu.be/3vTlp9EUjkA.
(Or alternatively how to center align everything in the footer just for the mobile view, as that way it won’t overlap.)
Thanks!

Thanks for this Vinay, although after adding this code, the menu items are still left aligned. See here:
They’re also wrapped around the social images.
Anything else I should add to fix this?
Thanks,
– James. Thanks but now that’s created another problem… There’s a scrollbar for the menu items, it’s all left aligned when I want it all to be centered and the line height needs to be bigger so the links don’t overlap. How would we accomplish this?
Thanks!
– James.Sure! Please see the temporary login details in the private content section of this reply.
Thanks,
– James. Thanks Yigit, but this didn’t do anything. See the footer here: https://www.digitalprosperity.com .
Thanks,
– James. Thanks – but the footer still doesn’t wrap the menu items onto a new line when the window is resized. Any help with that?
Thanks,
– James.Any help?
Thanks,
– James. Thanks for that Rikard! The top menu is now fixed, but the footer menu still disappears and doesn’t wrap to new lines when the window is resized. See here: http://www.digitalprosperity.com .
Any help?
Thanks,
– James.Sure – it’s at http://www.digitalprosperity.com .
Thanks!
