Hello. Can anyone help with this ?
TxHi
FYI, I have resolved this by disabling CSS and JS file merging and compression in the Enfold Child Theme Performance settings
Should this be disabled at all times ?
Tx
Ivan
You can close it. Thank you
Hi Rikard
Don’t worry about the above. I used FTP to upload the files as it made more sense to me than using DELETE on the WP Dashboard
Its updated AND the problem I initially reported with the link button not working on fullscreen slider is now resolved
Tx for your help
Ivan
Hi
I am ready to update to Enfold 5.01
In teh instructions it says :
To re-install enfold theme via the WordPress dashboard without losing data.
– Go to Appearance > Themes page and first, deactivate the active enfold theme as active themes cannot be removed.
– Activate the default WordPress theme.
– View the theme details of the theme you like to delete and click “Delete”.
– Upload a freshly downloaded copy of the theme from ThemeForest.Where it says “View the theme details of the theme you like to delete and click “Delete” ” , is it the ENFOLD theme I am deleting or the ENFOLD CHILD THEME ?
Sorry for the questions, but again this is 1st time I am doing itIvan
That worked. Thanks.
However, just FYI, the other link does not work. My default location for browser is DOWNLOADS file but my browser is set to prompt me each time. I do not get a prompt. I disabled teh prompt and is still did not work
Hi
Regarding the child theme link. When I click it, my screen flashes momentarily but I am not prompted to download any files and nothing is auto download onto my desktop…or anywhere elseIvan
Hi
mmm. I am really scared to do that :-) I don’t want to lose anything…I am not very experienced and have not done an update before. I have only just installed Enfold a week or two ago
FYI, this link in the instructions does not work
Enfold Child Theme Download
Also, I am not sure I follow this (or do I ignore it) :
To re-install enfold theme via the WordPress dashboard without losing data.
Go to Appearance > Themes page and first, deactivate the active enfold theme as active themes cannot be removed.
Activate the default WordPress theme.
View the theme details of the theme you like to delete and click “Delete”.
Upload a freshly downloaded copy of the theme from ThemeForest. -
