Thanks Yigit…I hadn’t thought of that. Is there any option I could use if the menu was even longer (bound to happen), and so the reduced padding didn’t help?
cheers
Darryl
Gday Ismael
thanks for your help with this. That setting was already set, but still has the long menu.
The comment beside the setting says it will work below 990px, but landscape tablet is 1024px?
cheers
Darryl
My apologies…I meant the landscape view….the portrait view is working well, but I’d like to invoke the change for the landscape view, to replace the long menu with the icon menu instead.

May 27, 2014 at 1:29 pm in reply to: Enfold and Modern Tribe Event Calendar Pro Plugin conflict #270505OMG, you legend :) Thanks so much, it worked after 1 flush…fantastic, you’ve made my day!

DarrylThanks for your reply Devin, I’m sorry I didn’t realise it was here. After watching the video I can see now that there’s some individual construction to do on the actual final destination page per item. That’s very flexible…I thought there must be a template that was already preset. Much appreciated, looks powerful.

Gday Devin, thanks for looking at this, you guys are great to get involved. I know it looks that way (file not there), but it is indeed in the directory. I suspect there’s a server issue, maybe a permissions problem…will get onto the host and check that.
Gotcha, thanks Devin. Here is a live link: http://sewacsweb.dev.2pihosting.com/
Thanks for your help with this, much appreciated.Brilliant, thanks for that collection Ismael. (Sorry for the delay, I’ve been in the offline world…camping :)
September 26, 2013 at 9:12 pm in reply to: How to make Page Sidebar Menus have the same order set in Appearances > Menu #166737Pls disregard the example, I see it was part of the Codex quote, and found that example in the codex.
September 26, 2013 at 9:08 pm in reply to: How to make Page Sidebar Menus have the same order set in Appearances > Menu #166735Thanks for explaining that Josue. The link to an example was missing.
So the logic in functions-enfold for the sidebar calls the menu_order, and of course will display whatever the order is set to…it just happens to differ from Appearances Menu ordering.
Prior to using a plugin such as the one that is helping me to reorder the items, do you know what mechanism is making the original order?
Ultimately I’d like to create a function that logically forces the menu_order to match the Appearance Order, and add it to my functions, rather than use a plugin. Any ideas about how to achieve that?

September 26, 2013 at 11:42 am in reply to: Blog Page to show Excerpt or First 150 chars of post #166556Hi there,
I followed your directions Ismael, but the blog length still displays in full length, not as excerpt with read more. Is this a known issue?

September 26, 2013 at 8:20 am in reply to: How to make Page Sidebar Menus have the same order set in Appearances > Menu #166484Awesome, it worked. So Josue, what could that plugin be doing that helps this reorder take place? The functionality it offers overcomes something that I think should be working properly in Enfold. Or is it perhaps a WordPress issue?
September 26, 2013 at 8:14 am in reply to: How to make Page Sidebar Menus have the same order set in Appearances > Menu #166481Sorry, I use it’s sibling plugin Admin Tree Page view. This other one looks like drag and drop rearranging, I’ll see if it takes precedent in both areas.
September 26, 2013 at 8:12 am in reply to: How to make Page Sidebar Menus have the same order set in Appearances > Menu #166480Gday Josue
Thanks for helping me with this. I actually use that plugin, although only for convenience of editing pages. What do you foresee I could do with that plugin to overcome the ordering?

September 24, 2013 at 10:10 pm in reply to: Replace Advanced Menu toggle icon with the word 'MENU' #165855Excellent, thanks so much for your help there Yigit. The anchor had the code for the symbol, and replacing it works like a charm…much appreciated. Your support is second-to-none, love it.

September 24, 2013 at 9:44 am in reply to: Enfold 2.2 Upgrade – Logo and Bottom Navigation issue #165509Gday Devin.
I tried that switching back and forth between each heading type but still has the issue: http://screencast.com/t/2TZiVleYk
Does that help direct it toward something else?
cheers
Darryl
Excellent, works like a charm, thanks Yigit. Putting a span around the term has also helped me to target it with CSS separately to the icon itself.
Thanks Ismael. Perhaps I am working in the wrong way to couple with your CSS?…when I add a ‘featured image’ it is actually being cropped by the system, so it is actually square.
Gday Ismael.
Thanks for your idea for adding the search term. It did indeed work, though it would be better if the term was also acting as the link as well.
I’m wondering, could you please point out the file which has the actual icon in it? Perhaps I can just put the word in the anchor of the icon font character?
cheers
Darryl
Perfect, thanks Devin, in my child file that line of code was incorrectly altered when aiming to adjust the excerpts (which I have since done in the correct file loop-archive).
Thanks so much for your troubleshooting, you’ve made my day, and I’m certain my client’s as well :) Very much appreciated.
cheers
Darryl
Thanks so much Devin, I have added you and sent an email off as well. BTW, nice new support forum design ;)
Hi Andrew
I would try the following, assuming you are using the bottom nav area:
– within Appearance > Menus in your main menu, open the screen options tab at the top of the screen.
– check the option for showing advanced menu properties CSS Classes
– toggle open each menu item and add unique names to each menu item, eg. menu-investment-banking
– save your menu
Then by whichever CSS method you use, something like the following might be a good start. An issue is that the widths will be fixed, and you’ll have to set it for each instance of the forced smaller widths, by duplicating the last declaration block of the code below for each new double-lined list item:
#header_main_alternate.container_wrap,
#header_main_alternate.container_wrap .container,
.menu-main-menu-container,
ul#menu-main-menu {
height: 40px!important;
}
ul#menu-main-menu>li,
ul#menu-main-menu>li>a {
height: 40px!important;
line-height: 40px!important;/*change this line-height to suit the single word nav - smaller number will raise it upward */
}
ul#menu-main-menu>li.menu-travel-management > a {
width: 100px!important;
line-height: 16px!important;
padding-top: 4px!important;
height: 40px!important;
}cheers
Darryl
Thanks for your help with this. Yes, Ismael, it was done in Visual mode, and again in HTML mode.
The code works fine in pages, but not posts.
I’m using v2.1 and WP 3.6.1
Here is a test page with each element working: http://www.birdsnest.com.au/blog/page-test/
Turning off all plugins does not make a difference.
Do you guys have any idea why it would work in one and not the other?
If you want admin access, I can contact directly outside of the forum.
Thanks again, much appreciated.

September 6, 2013 at 9:23 pm in reply to: Search Broken on The Events Calendar Pro Calendar pages #138619I had faced the same issue, and this fix works a treat, thanks Kriesi.
I also tried to see if I could have the js folder read from my child theme so that I don’t have issues with future Enfold updates, but I couldn’t get it to work. Is it possible to move the js folder in a child theme and have it reference properly?
