Thanks for the reply.
I am holding my breath because after a few hours of troubleshooting it seems I have managed to solve the issue.Not quite sure what did the trick, but I did replace the wp-includes/wp-db.php with a fresh install, and the error is gone.

I just have to use some more css to make it look good, because when the site breaks to mobile view the position of the logo and menu item is a bit off from where I want it.Sure, here it is.
I have two accordions right above the footer.
In the main menu: the two menu items to the left takes you down to the accordions.In the child functions.php the only code now is the one you sent me.
In the parent theme functions.php the only changes I ever made was the values of the image sizes.Thanks!
Almost, but still not quite there.So I had three posts published, and the image changed to right size only in one post (the newest).
I uploaded a new post right now for testing and it came out right. (the one with the blue picture, oldest date).So for the two images that did´nt change, I ended ut deleting the images and uploaded all new. The weird thing, they still have the wrong size. I even gave them new names local on my computer before uploading them, and still they are not cropped.
I once again regenerated thumbnails and cleared cache, updated browser multiple times, checked in different browsers.
