    Yes the problem is gone..
    I have one more question.. Can you please tell me what this change in the code mean? I mean what does the code piece does?

    Thank you for solving my problem. I really appreciate it..

    My question is; you said the child theme now active with the newer avia.js. So I do not need to do anything at the moment because you place the newest avia.js . am I right?

    Hello Victoria,

    Yes I still need help.

    The staging website works fine..
    But the problem exists in the live website. In the live website, I did exactly what I did in staging site..
    First I removed all js and shorcode php files inside my child theme folder.
    And then I started to upload them again one by one checking if the problem occurs..
    When I uploaded avia.js the site gave error.. SO I copied avia.js from main theme (latest version) to my child theme and the problem disapperared..

    But when I did this in my live website it does not matter..
    I clean my cache many time also..

    What can be the problem?
    You have my website access information already including staging site and http://ftp..
    So please feel free to check it..

    I would be really happy if you can help me about this.

    Hello Mike,

    In the live website you do not see the error because I activated the main theme so the visitors do not see the problem.
    So the Child theme is inactive currently.

    I have uploaded avia.js to google drive.. here is the link :

    But I do not know why the problem still exist even I remove avia.js from child theme folder…

    Hello again,

    I tried to do the same thing I did in staging site on my live website..
    I removed avis.js and slideshow_fullscreen.php and then activated child theme but the problem still exists..
    I cleaned cache, I removed enfold and re-isntalled it but still same…

    Hello Mike,

    I removed the “avia.js” and the custom ‘slideshow_fullscreen.php’ from my child theme and activated the child theme..
    The I uploaded these 2 files one by one and figured that it is avis.js inside child theme is the reason of having a black non-css area above the header..
    But I do not know what is causing the problem in avia.js. I replaced avis.js with the original file from enfold 4.4.1
    Now everything seems ok. But I do not remember what I changed in avia.js before so that I put that into child theme folder..
    Is it possible to find out that?

    Hello again Basilis,

    OK I was able to acces my website and activated the main theme. Now the site is working..
    But does this mean I am not using the child theme at the moment?

    I want to use the child theme because I am making lots of css changes and I want to keep these changes every time I update the main theme.
    It has been quite long since I updated the theme. I was using version 3.8 before.

    Do you think working with child theme is still a good option or do I not need child theme anymore?

    I was looking for other threads and one of the moderator’s solution was to add this line:

    /*enfold 4.4.1 update sonrası menu problemi i.in eklendi.*/

    instead of this :

    So I did that and uploaded style.css into my enfold child theme folder..
    do you think this created the fatal error?

    I am really sorry I didnt think you would respond that quick to my problem..

    Hello Mike,

    I was also trying to figure out the problemç I did not think that you are already working on the staging site at the moment.
    I also clicked UPDATE in the theme screen and now the staging website gives fatal error..

    Yes i checked wpml. Its nothing to do with wpml
    Also there is already the never version
    The site use latest version.

    Hello Rikard,

    I have created a staging site which took me too login. but finally I managed to mirror my exact website.
    I have uploaded the themes and made the theme update to Enfold 4.0
    Keep in mind that I am using a child theme.
    At the moment the website use v 4.0 as a parent theme and as you can see the language bar on the top left is showing flags instead of language names (please see http://www.enisyucel.com for correct version)

    Please also help me with my second question about not seeing the caption area when I use full screen slider.

    Hi again ,

    When I check the code in Chrome I see that the css computed is

    .container {
    max-width: 1010px;
    }

    But in Safari I see it as;

    .responsive .container {
    max-width: 1440px;
    }

    For a temporary solution I changed style.css as :

    .container {
    max-width: 1440px;
    }

    But I do not think this is a professional and correct fix…
    What do you sugges?

    Hello Yiğit,

    Thank you. Seems like there is no issue since using child theme and playing with style.css
    One more thing which you also realized and told me before. I couldnt fix it yet.
    The page width seems different in Chrome and Safari.
    I am talking about the main content area..
    In Chrome it looks more narrow then Safari.

    How can I check which causes this problem and if there is possible fix for that. I like the Safari look more and want to have the same width in Chrome as well.

    So let me experience this Child Theme bit. Yesterday I completed the Theme Settings again for the child theme.
    And added necessary css codes to style.css

    If my experience go bad I can let you know.
    But one more question; If some cdes are corrupted (as you said for Quick CSS), do you think there can be other files/codes are corrupted too which we didnt realize now?

    Hello Vinay,

    I realized that with Child Theme, my header and footer has changed. I think I have to re-setup the Theme Options settings. Am I right?
    Can you tell me if there are other things I have to re-check because you installed Child Theme ?

    Do you recommend me using a child theme ?
    At the moment you have created the child theme for me, thanks for that. But do all the THEME OPTIONS from main theme are active for the child theme at the moment? It seems so but I just want to be sure about it.

    Hi Vinay,

    I am sorry but I did not get what you mean.
    I checked my website and the problem still continue. The changes I make to QUICK CSS section do not take effect on the site.

    Bu problem oluşmadan önce Quick Css alanında bir değişiklik yaptım. Daha doğrusu heading ve body fontlarını değiştirmek istedim ama söylediğim gibi istediğim değişiklikler taracıya yansımamaya başladı.

    Bir anda menü, bıdy text ve headinglerimin formatları bozuldu. Ancak şunu farkettim Chrome da yansımayan değişiklik Safari de yansıyor.

    Benim aklımı karıştıran, (uzun zaman önce değişiklikler yaptıgım için ve de tam teknik bilgim olmadıgı için) sayfalardaki body text, special headingler , h1 h2 vs heading taglerinin font biçimlerinin ne oldugunu chrome da INSPECT diyerek bulmaya calısıyorum ama inherit oldugu için css i tam anlayamıyorum.

    !import özelliği kullanmaya calısıyorum Quşck CSS alanındaki benim yaptığım değişklikleri base.css in falan üerine yazsın ama pek işe yaramıyor chrome da gibi.
    Cache i temizledim bir kaç defa olmadı. Chrome Developer’da Network sekmesinden DISABLE CACHE seceneğini işaretleyip denedim yine etkisi olmuyor. Bir türlü yansıtamıyorum font biçimlendirmelerimi.
    Nasıl halledeceğiz anlamadım ben de ama kafayı yiycem yani..

    bakman mumku mu ?

    H1 H2 ve p taglerine ozel css yazmak istiyorum quick css bolumunde..
    ama ne yaparsam yapayim degismiyor.
