Thank You Rikar .
I never noticed the pulldown which allowed you to enter the link … I was always trying to add it in developer options and it never worked.
.I am convinced that your method is the right way to add a link to an image. I will do it his way from now on.

Did you do the steps I outlined above .. what was your result?
YES, your method works …. THANK YOU.
However, I have a programmer’s curiosity Rikar .. .I have ALWAYS used the method I described in the steps I outlined before and added the URL to the textbox and it has always worked and sometimes still does. Shouldn’t I be able to add a URL link to a text box as well as an image? What has changed that has caused me such dismay over the last few months?
At least I can now get my work done but I am stll befuddled!
BTW .. still have the alignment issue with the image on the home page. SEE TEA TOWELS . please help.

April 19, 2022 at 8:25 pm in reply to: URL physically appearing in Textbox after adding link to another page #1348863Hi Rikard,
Here is another example …
To reproduce this error, do the following steps.
1. Click Pages
2. Edit HOME page
3.Edit TEA TOWELS (near bottom on right)
4. Click the Chain to add the link from this image
5. Click OPTIONS
6. Select “Tea Towels” from the list (should be top one)
7. Click INSERT LINK
8. Click Save and Update
9. Run embroiderforyou.bizIMGUR JPG = https://imgur.com/UD7ZQpQ
Notice the result I get from the above IMGUR image. The link is actually displayed in character fom above the image. The link is in those characters and there is no link in the image. Erase the characters and the link disappears. ‘Ive used those steps with great success until now. Now, sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. In the example above, I have never gotten it to work.
Also fails on Adult Bibs too.
Hope you can reproduce it or at least point me in the right direction.
Regards,
Alan
PS. Notice also ..”Tea Towels” and “”Adult Bibs” images do not align with others .. why? …or is it same issue?

April 19, 2022 at 2:50 pm in reply to: URL physically appearing in Textbox after adding link to another page #1348806Sorry ..pw is below …
Hi Nikko,
Try this … go to the home page … open the “Tea Towels” image and try and put a link to the actual “Tea Towels” page (see below). Try putting the link via the text box and also via the image. In both cases the link disappears as as soon as you leave the edit screen.
Since it seems to work for you, I thought it might be related to my own development laptop. So I tried it on a different device and the results are exactly the same.
If you cannot reproduce the error now, I will very surprised as it is so apparent to me. I am totally handicapped in my development until I can get this problem resolved.
Reminder … several months ago, when I was working alot on this website, it always worked and links were saved without a problem. It is only in the last month since I started working on this website again that it has failed to save the link. That and the extensive testing that you and I have already done, increases my feeling that this is an Enfold issue.
I hope you can find ithe problem and resolve it. Please feel free to encourage other members of your Enfold technical team to get involved as well.
Regards,
Alan
Nikko,
Sorry, I was called away from this project for a few days. Just got back to it today.
Before I removed the favicon, My client asked me to add a new page and some new images some with links to other pages.
-
Nothing is working now
Even putting the link in the image itself did not work. No matter where I put the link,,textbox or image, it disappears upon saving.
(FYI … Please make sure I am putting the link in the image correctly … I edit the image, open “ADVANCED OPTIONS” and put the link in the field “Link Rel” and click UPDATE. Then SAVE on the main screen. When I edit the image again, the link is gone. Even after I click UPDATE and reedit the image, the link is gone. It disappears after UPDATE even before I get to the SAVE.)
Removing the favicon made no difference.
FYI .. I deactivated all my plugins that were active to see if one of them was causing the problem and that didn’t help either.
So there is no way I can add a link to any image now as nothing is working.
This problem is getting critical now … PLEASE HELP
ALAN

Tried all your suggestions … no luck .. nothing worked ….
I think I put the screenshot up below correctly … I’m a noobie at using imgur
I know this is a strange problem … thought it would be an easy solve .. we’ll just keep working at it together. Thanks for all your help on this.
Alan
Hi Nikko,
Using Adult Bib is an excrellent example of my problem and I will do the same in testing.
Tried clearing the browser AND enfold cache .,, no luck .. problem is still there for me. I entered a link, saved it and when I edited the photo again, the link had disappeared.
Clearly something is different from your system and mine.
What do I try next?
Alan
my bad again .. sorry .. see below . please try and get back as soon as possible .. I believe the solution is probably an easy one.
Any answer yet Nikko … my customer wants me to install these links ASAP.
Thank you.
Hi Nikko,
Thank You .. forgot user name .. see below
Alan
Thank You Rikard …
I don’t know how the other pics are wrapped in an h3 but making it also an h3 corrected the problem.
I will keep this in mind for other similar issues by comparing the text representatons.Alan
Sure Victoria .. see below
Hi Victoria,
I got all the photos lines up on all my pages except one and I cannot figure this one out. Most I solved by completely deleting the 1/5 in which they were contained and rebuilding it .. that seemed to fix the problem.
However .. please look at the home page … second row down and last one on right (SCARVES). I checked the photo multiple times and it is correct in size and resolution. I deleted and rebuilt the 1/5 several times and no matter what I do, I cannot get this photo aligned to the others.
Can you help?
BTW .. having to rebuild those random 1/5’s which are misaligned to fix the problem seems to me to indicate a random bug in Enfold. Just my intuition speaking.
But can you help with that one stubborn photo I indicated above.
Thanks.
Alan
AHHH .. I just realized that the menu bar is ALWAYS in the header …lol ..
So now I would like to learn how to move it to the right center like you have it above and how to change the font color of the menu bar.
Again .. a little redundant with my other posting but trying to keep my thoughts together on both.
Tnx Again
Alan
February 23, 2021 at 4:28 pm in reply to: Filling the Header Area completely with a Photo Image #1283127That worked great Rikard and I will change the image size appropriately …
I know I posted the following Q in my other posting but just to keep my thoughts together..
1. What is the size and resolution you would recommend for the header?
2. Where is the option in enfold to change the font color of my menu bar (I tried a few under styling with no success) ?Tnx
Alan
Hello Rikard,
Not exactly the same questions … my questions here are
1, What resolution and size would you recommend a “stretched” header image to be?
2. Referring to the example above of your Enfold header, how do you move the menu bar into the header and change the color appropriately to show properly? It’s a nice technique that I would like to learn.
Thanks
Alan
“… some have h3 + a and some text clock + p”
I don’t know what this is …. can you be more specific on where you found this?
When I change text to be H3 I just highlight and select it. I don’t know what a text clock is or how I get a H3+a or H3+p encoded..Alan
So Sorry Victoria … I have an automatic ID/PW saver and never have to type them in so I often forget what they are … I had to search and test for this one myself.

February 19, 2021 at 10:17 pm in reply to: Filling the Header Area completely with a Photo Image #1282331Hi G …
I assume this code you gave me gets added to the main CSS code in the Enfold layout which I did but nothing changed so I guess there is more to it.and other changes I must learn to make
