Ok, thanks.
There was no difference, nothing happened actually.
Thank you so much.
Have a nice weekend :-)Ok thanks, where would I find this file? I looked in Appearance/editor but did not find it there?
Ok thanks, I did read the YOAST page and it was very helpful. But I just thought that the theme had a robots file already included.
Sorry about the virtual thing, I was told that your theme included a virtual robots.txt file!!
ThanksI finally figured this one out. Thank you.
OK, thank you so much for checking this out. I didn’t change anything else :-) I will leave it for now, and then go back to this later. But if you feel that its all good, I am thinking that it is. Thanks.
You think it is the server? Thats very interesting. We will be moving the site to a virtual Linux server when the site goes live, but it is with the same hosting service. So I dont know if this would change anything. Also the hosting service we use are considered to be the best, I doubt that they have “slow” servers. Also I dont know if you had time to look at the link I provided to our current site, that loads way faster, and it is hosted by the same hosting service.
PS. I got the time down to half (by removing the preload image! A shame to loose it.), but some pages at some times loads way slower than our current site.

Thanks again.
(You can close this post if you like)Ok so I tried deactivating my plugins, one at a time. Even different combinations (not all!!). Still very slow loading times. Please see private section.
While admittedly 3 of the tests were on the same connection, the rest were not.
If you feel that the pages does not load too slowly, I am gonna go with that for now.
I will def have to do some more testing though. With the different plugins, and with different connections. As what I see right now, is not quite acceptable to me.
Thank you so much for your time. I might have to get back to you guys re this in the near future :-)ps. on all the above devices it takes 1-2 sec. to load a simple page Is that what you see too??
Well i tested on 2 cell phones, ipad mini, ipad 3 and two stationary machines. All very slow loading, considering we are not picture heavy at all. I have now tried to activate one plugin at a time, I still do not know whats what. Also, could it be a combination of several plugins maybe? Then it would be impossible to know.
I will ask you this; do you think that the load time you are seeing are acceptable at this time (all plugins are activated once again)?
Thanks.Wow, that actually helped. Do I have too many plugins then? How many is too many? I know you cant say really, but an estimate.
July 30, 2015 at 4:19 pm in reply to: Placement problems in mobile view (cart and search icon) #480764I finally fixed the placement issue myself. Thanks for trying.
ps. How many plugins are too many. I know they are not the same, but a rough estimate would be nice?
July 30, 2015 at 1:02 pm in reply to: Placement problems in mobile view (cart and search icon) #480657The attached image is an additional image of the cart icon placement, but this time in Tablet mode. The cart is wrongly placed under the sandwich menu. Just found out, and thought I would show it you as well.
(I would be willing to remove the cart icon altogether if you have the code for this.)
July 28, 2015 at 10:39 am in reply to: Placement problems in mobile view (cart and search icon) #479579You have to login to my cpanel, THEN login to my WP back end. Please see the Howto images I have included with my earlier answer (I have attached it for you again below). I am aware that my demo hotel works differently than you guys are used to, but this is the only way you can get to my WP back end. This is how I log in myself every time.
Ok, I figured it out myself. Thanks for trying.
July 27, 2015 at 7:45 am in reply to: Placement problems in mobile view (cart and search icon) #478919Hey guys, were you ever able to login?? Sorry about the mess.
I am so sorry, I dont know why it should be any different when you login. I see the below image when I go to the above link, I see the another url showing in the address bar, maybe you can login with that one. I am really sorry about this….
Ps an example of what I was looking for attached….
July 21, 2015 at 4:32 pm in reply to: Placement problems in mobile view (cart and search icon) #476603Hi, there are two ways, I have included both (This a demo hotel).
Thanks.July 20, 2015 at 9:54 pm in reply to: Placement problems in mobile view (cart and search icon) #476158I am so very sorry, we change password once a week, thats properly the problem. I have attached the new ones. (I will make sure not to change again anytime soon). Thanks
July 17, 2015 at 12:59 pm in reply to: Placement problems in mobile view (cart and search icon) #474887Ok, thank you. Thats what I figured :-)
Is there anyway to have the icons not go underneath the logo…even if I do not add the search logo myself, the original ENFOLD cart logo goes under the logo. Is it meant to do that?
Thanks(Btw I did say sorry for the double post in a private message on the other post!!
But again sorry for posting twice…I understand.)Hi guys, I am having a problem with the placement of both my search icon and my cart icon on my mobile view.
When in mobile view (Please see attached image) they are placed under my logo in the header area.
I would like to completely remove the cart icon and then have the search icon next to the sandwich menu.
Is this doable?
Thanks a lot. This is the code i used in Quick CSS to get the search icon to show on my mobile view.
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { .main_menu .avia-menu, #header_main_alternate { display: block !important; } .av-main-nav > li { display: none; } li#menu-item-search { display: block!important; margin-top: -90px; right: 70px; } .responsive .main_menu { float: right; }}
Great, thank you. That seems to have done the trick. This is great stuff :-)
Please close post. The thing is: I go to our FTP files and change the file…there is only one file?
ThanksSorry, I meant to say that I have edited ONE file only…
