I have noticed this issue also. Hopefully @Kriesi will fix the code. Someone else reported this and there is a quick CSS solution:

@schoolofmakeup: thanks for that. I will have a look.

    @Ismael
: I put the font files in the child theme/fonts and I also put them in the mail theme root and yes, I used the full directory. I know it was looking in the right place (after I had changed my child theme H1,H2 etc, as the fonts did change (back to a default one).

I assume because the Use Any Font plugin would not display it – the font is incompatible to be converted. I just gave up lol.

in reply to: Step by Step Installing a New Font #641115

    Hi Vinay,

Thank you for all your help. Unfortunately the font did not work. I presume it is a conversion problem as I tried both the plugin and manually. Neither worked. The font was chalkduster.tff

I’m sure this post will be useful for others, and myself on future website. Thanks.

in reply to: Step by Step Installing a New Font #639780

    Hey @Vinay,

Thanks for this. It is very helpful. In this demo it modifies the child theme H1 (as an example) to use the new installed font.
Of course, I have a blank child CSS file. If I install the font will it become available through the Enfold Theme Interface? (so I don’t have to add all the font settings in the child theme) ?

That is what I really want to do. Find a new font, install it, and for it to be available in the drop down list in the Enfold (Child) Theme | General Styling | Fonts | Header drop down list.

Thanks @Yigit, I will try this.

in reply to: Logo in Footer Widget #631986

    Hi @Jordan,

Yes I have, but they don’t work. I am using 4 column footer.
If, for example my image is 300 x 100 and in the footer I use the image tag and set it to 150 x 50 it does not show as this. It distorts the image. When you resize the window, the image gets squashed and not in proportion. (the image in the image gallery is actually very large (3000 x 2000) or something similar.

Try it yourself, just insert an image into a footer column :)

in reply to: Add X and tick icons on pricing table #628294

I know this is late, but it might help…

I just used the following in each cell:

    A green tick box:

    [av_font_icon icon='ue812' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='' linktarget='' color='#02a800' size='20px' position='right'][/av_font_icon]

    A red cross:

    [av_font_icon icon='ue813' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='' linktarget='' color='#CC0000' size='20px' position='right'][/av_font_icon]

    Thanks guys,
I managed to create a child theme and put this in functions.php and it works fine.

    Much appreciated.

    @basilis

Many thanks for the quick reply and the solution. I’m not a coder. Where do I add this code?

    Thanks,

    @Vinnie

Fantastic support thank you Vinay! I had the right API key but forgot it was registered with the customer name and not mine doh! – User Error, sorry. But much appreciate the fast response. (you can close the ticket)

in reply to: Demo import does not look like your demo #614066

Thanks for the quick reply and solution @Vinay,

I did install the Child Theme. I also have a valid API Key (or so I thought) and did a manual check for the latest Theme version but nothing was found. I will check the Key again.

    Thanks again for your support.

    Thanks @Ismael,

I got there in the end. Well almost I guess. The sub headings are all in purple if you select the heading.

Do requests like this ever filter back into development? i.e. Does anyone look at issues like these and think, we should really make the side menu work like the main menu?

Recently I had to search how to open the hyperlink on a testimonial in a new window because there is no way of doing so. Do these sort of things go into development or do you rely on customers shouting and submitting feature requests?

Thank you for your continued support.

Thanks for the suggestion @alexanderduenchem much appreciated

I’m not very technical but I did try this. I ended up with just an animated arrow that you couldn’t click above my circle image at the top of the section lol.

I also tried @ismeal suggestion of editing the functions.php file (i now have a child theme), but that didn’t do anything.

You can see my page now on the live site: http://crossleydomesticservices.com/services/

I have just accepted that this is how it is. But when you show a page like this to a developer, I think it is hard for them to say this is how it should work ;)

    Hi,

The current menu item did show the current page highlighted before the above custom CSS changes.
I just want a menu down the right side of my page showing the menu structure, and using the same colour scheme as that set in the General Stylings.
Not sure why it does not default this way. However, I do appreciate the help guys.

I have created an admin account if you please take a look for me? You’ll be able to see the dots too then (which only show as part of the custom CSS)

    Many thanks,
    H

@begrafiks, thank you for the suggestion.

This had made a difference thank you. I actually have a top level heading otherwise the others are not indented, so in the above, Example Menu is actually my First Level, but I was able to see that adding ul to your first part and another ul to the second part worked and I now have Bold where I need bold.

However, I now have a strange dot above the first character of level 2 and level 3 menu items?
Is it possible to highlight the menu item for the page you are actually on?

*my site is not live at the moment.

    Thanks again.

in reply to: Mega Menu Transparent #602250

Hey @Guenni007, thank you so much for the quick response. This worked perfectly!

Thanks Vinnie, nice try but that doesn’t work for me. All that seems to do is crop the image within the element. I am left with lots of white space below the image (and the navigation circles, and down arrow (if enabled). I need this for Fullwidth Easy Slider.

Hi all, I hope you don’t mind me commenting on this, but I am searching the forum for the same solution.
My requirement (and it seems the same as #boemedia is to allow the Fullwidth Easy Slider inside a Color Section where you can specify the min height (or add a min height setting for the Fullwidth Easy Slider).
The Fullwidth Easy Slider has more custom options than the Easy Slider. OR please add more functions to the Easy Slider – Custom font size and buttons.

    Thanks Ismael,

That works great! (though on my site, there are far too many events to make it look good. I’ll stick with the other widget. But it is useful to know for future sites.
    Great support, thank you.

    Thanks Rikard, details below.

in reply to: Theme Options – Define the Font for your body text #556584

No, it happens with many of them. (incidentally, if you tick the “Apply only to mouse hover state” box), the transparent colour works as expected, so proving it is not working as intended.

    Hope that helps :)

I do appreciate all your help Andy. I’m just trying to help.

in reply to: Theme Options – Define the Font for your body text #556534

Did you also change the font to quicksands? (and make it size 16)

in reply to: Theme Options – Define the Font for your body text #556158

This is because I uploaded all 6 images at the same time to Cloudup instead of individually. And it seems it gave me the same URL for each image when I hit the Share Icon. I’ll use the URL from the browser.

Look at this image. This is how enfold works by default. It doesn’t matter what the main menu colour is set to. It shows white because the transparency is set to white:
    https://cloudup.com/iLpNqEII44f

Look at this image. The menu should STILL be WHITE because the transparancy is still set to white (it has not been changed). The only thing changed is the Advanced Menu Setting – Blue, Size 16, Quicksand font.

I will edit the post above with the correct image links. It’s not difficult to test this. Use your Church demo, Just change the menu colour as above in the advanced settings.

in reply to: Theme Options – Define the Font for your body text #555700

I have no idea why the images are not showing. I give up! I can see the URLs when I edit the reply but I don’t see them when I submit the post.

in reply to: Theme Options – Define the Font for your body text #555694

Here are some screenshots to help:

Menu with image background (the default Church Theme)

    Transparent Menu Setting (White)
    https://cloudup.com/ie4QqJ8CAaG

Menu shown when scrolled down the screen:

Now we want to change the size of the header and change the font to Qucksands and change the colour to Blue:
    https://cloudup.com/id5sIw-k4Iy

It works when you scroll down the screen (as expected):
    https://cloudup.com/ih0f6GmgeSR

But not on initial page load – it should be using the Transparent menu setting and it is not:

    I hope this helps.

    Sorry Andy,

I can’t have a live site running with a bug. Surely you have test sites set up? All you need to do is create a page with a transparent header with image as a background. Change the Advanced Styling for the menu to Quicksands and make it blue. Make sure the transparent colour is set to white. When you view the page, you will see that the colour has not changed.

in reply to: Theme Options – Define the Font for your body text #554941

I change the menu to blue – It is ALWAYS blue !!!! even on a transparent background heading (which you can’t see when the background image is dark) (even though the transparent background colour is set to white – it does not take effect, it is always blue). Try it !

Yes, I managed to post a picture, it didn’t work first time.
Yes, my website looks OK, because I fudged it, I worked around the bug, I spent ages getting it right. :(

I’m just trying to help here in pointing out a bug with the theme settings, sorry if I have not explained it enough.

in reply to: Theme Options – Define the Font for your body text #552558

    Hi @Andy,

It is quite simple really. Perhaps I am trying to explain it in too much detail related to my specific site.

Having problems posting an image link here:

Change the Advance Styling for Main Menu Links to a Font Family that is NOT on the font list for main body fonts. In this example Quicksands.
Set the colour to a dark Blue.

By doing this, this also changes the website main menu font colour. (So now your menu’s are Blue).

If you then use a page with a dark transparent header image you can not see the menu because it it dark blue.

Of course, the next option would be to change the Transparency menu color option under Header settings. Changing this colour has no effect on the menu at all – this is the bug. If you have social icons in the header (they do change to the Transparency menu color), but the menu does not.

I hope that gives you sufficient information to reproduce the bug.

As I say, I have been able to work around it by adding the quicksands font to the list of fonts and making it my default font. I then select default (instead of Quicksands) in order to change the menu size to 16.

in reply to: Theme Options – Define the Font for your body text #549902

    @Andy,

Thanks Andy. Confusing I know. Here it is simply put:

    1. I want to change my main menu font to the same one as I use for my main content headings (Quicksand).
    2. The main menu font seems to be set as the same font used for the main body but Quicksand is not available in the font list for “Defines the Font for your body text”
    3. Intuitively, I go to Advanced Styling and edit element “Main Menu Links” and from there I select Quicksand (it is there in the list as part of the default theme install)
    4. THIS CAUSES THE BUG WITH THE MENU COLOR ON TRANSPARENT HEADINGS
    5. What ever colour you choose for the main menu (say, blue), it remains blue on transparent headings, even though you have set the transparency colour to white.

I hope this explains the issue better.

The solution to change my whole body text to Quicksand with your code above fixes the issue but it would be nice to keep my main body font separate to the main menu font.

Thank you though for your great support! Much appreciated.

in reply to: Theme Options – Define the Font for your body text #545418

Yikes, can we go back to the beginning?

My problem is with Enfold not working as expected. Your solution above just makes the sub menus white, which means you can’t see them as they turn out to be white on white.

Can I explain the issue: The issue arises because I am using Advanced Styling because this was the easiest way to use the Font Quicksand (size 16px).
I set the font colour to #176e96. This displays fine on the home page. It is what I expect. A blue menu with white background.

Despite changing the Transparency Menu Colour (under Header | Transparency Options Tab) to something else (currently #F7941E) the menu does NOT change when using a transparency header (as with most of the other pages on the site). The only thing that changes is the Social Icons. They change to #F7941E NOT the menu. The menu remains #176e96.

I see this as a bug.

Perhaps the solution is to go back and revisit Rikards comment above about registering additional Google fonts for Theme Options ?

If you can give me the code for Quicksand I can put this into the functions.php in my child theme (sorry I am such a novice lol)

I much appreciate your help and patience :)
