I hear ya Devin. Kinda scary. I tried updating theme. Removing all the custom css, deactivating all the plugins . . . . I guess it has to happen to someone right? Why me? lol

    Thanks buddy.

Hello Josue, here you go : http://goo.gl/2erlP9

Thank you for having a look.

Yes Devin. I did all those things. Cleared cache, deactivated all plugins, tried on iPad mini Safari browser . . . . Issue remains.

I’m really surprised that no one has asked me for my login info to check it out. Being that it’s not the custom css or plugins, I would think that I would get a little more help with this guys. I’m 70+ hours deep into this project and I’m sure you can appreciate that I cannot deliver a site that’s broken in 1 or the 3 top browsers. This is my 4th Theme I have purchased from Kreisi and I’ve never come across anything like this. Solid themes and elite support. I feel like I’m about to be “let go.”

There is no doubt in my mind that if one of the Kriesi dev’s looked under the hood, they would probably discover this issue fairly quickly. It’s probably a stupid mistake of mine somewhere.

I think I noticed that there was a recent update. I have 2.1. Is there a newer update that might fix this?

    Thank you very much Devin.

Update, I deleted ALL my custom css code, and the issue persisted in Safari. So now on to the plugins. This is insane. I have probably spent 10 hours on this issue.

Devin, Ismael, and whoever else is viewing this. . . . I have exausted all options. Tried everything I can think of. Ran CSS validation in LINT and WC3 Validator, tried deleting piece by piece, then testing and more testing, . . . and STILL, the menu is funky in the Safari browser. I know this will bug you guys, but can you take a look at the custom css and see if you see anything odd in here that might be causing issues in Safari? Thanks. I don’t know where to go with this issue if I can’t fix it. Might have to consider another theme. I really don’t want to lose this client, and this is a deal-breaker for sure.

Still working on this issue. A mini nightmare. lol

I’m relentless though. This is one of my largest clients yet, so I’m bummed.

Ouch. :-) Ok. I’ll try that.

I’ll update the progress. Thanks Devin.

in reply to: Remove image names on (one portfolio category only)? #140964

Ismael, thank you! I was actually trying to achieve this, and i was going in the right direction, but gave up. I probably could have kept at it a little longer. I apologize.

I feel for you guys, because I know you are bombarded with requests for help and it has to be exhausting. I really try to work things myself before I reach out.

    Your support is amazing.

    Thanks again.

in reply to: Remove image names on (one portfolio category only)? #140962

Yes Ismael. Would like to remove the Portfolio image titles for only (one) category, but leave the rest.

So for example, on this page [link below] I would like to remove the titles for each image.

    Thank you.

Sorry Devin, just realized I was inside mirzepapa’s ticket. I will head back to min eon the subject. . . .

in reply to: Safari does not like 2.1 at all #140885

    Hello Devin,

I hate to be a stickler, . . . honestly. But I am running the latest version of OSX, as well as the latest version of Safari 6. And the issue persists for me. This is one of those issues that will cause me to really be stuck if we can’t resolve this. A majority of the people that will view this site will probably use Chrome and FF, along with the iPhone in 3rd.

Chrome seems to be decent enough ti get by. No messed up menu items, although the text is thin. No biggie.

But Safari is super glitchy. Just the menu items. Some are bold and some are not. Would this possibly have anything to do with the font choice you think?

in reply to: Issues with Safari browser #138982

I just tried “hiding” the logo (display: none) , but the issue continues. ;-(

Boy, this is a tough one.

in reply to: Issues with Safari browser #138981

Davin, Thanks for trying to help me with this. It’s greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, it’s still messed up.

What’s really odd is that the glitch only happens when I select the Home, News, and Clients items.

I’m wondering if it has something to do with the logo I centered. I did some whacky coding to get it to where I wanted it. I’ve never come across a theme that “likes” to center a logo.

    What are your thoughts?

in reply to: Safari does not like 2.1 at all #140881

    Sebastian,

I am having the same issues with Safari and Chrome. Maybe a webkit thing.

I see that you are experincing the same “thin and ugly” font issue using Safari that I’m having. I will probably end up creating a media queries for different browsers (making the fits BOLD) on Safari and Chrome. Hopefully this helps.

Be happy that at least your nav menu items aren’t going nuts like mine are. Only in Safari and chrome this happens.

Anyways, the support here is amazing and they will help us get to the bottom of this one way or another. I will check back and update you with my progress on this issue.

    Sincerely,

    Pat

Here is what the issue looks like in the safari browser. Messes with the menu links.

Gosh, I apologize Devin, . . . the days go by like hours. Sorry for the late response.

I am using Version 6.0.5 of Safari.

    Thanks.

    Hello Devin,

Ok, I updated to Enfold 2.0.1 and the main menu items are still messed up in Safari. ;-(

Please, if you have a moment, can you log into Safari and see what I’m talking about? You have to click on one of the menu links to see what I mean. Some turn “bold” and others do not. Very odd. http://goo.gl/lNogs8

If you want to see what it’s supposed to look like, view it in Firefox browser.

Thanks a bunch Devin. I know these support tickets cost $. I try not to get carried away.

    Sincerely,

    Pat

Thanks Josue! I will read this now. :-)

in reply to: Issues with Safari browser #138975

Sweet! I had a feeling that’s what was the issue. Thank you very much Devin. Also thanks for the link to the Google URL shortener. Always learning something new. :-) I will apply your advice and update shortly.

Hello guys, . . . I try not to give up a url if possible just because some of my clients are kind of high profile, but here ya go. <removed by devin>

Please, if you can, use Safari and click around on the main nav menu and see what happens. Difficult to explain.

Also, if you go to the “Facilities” or “Clients” pages and hover over each item you will see a momentary “blink” happen. Some little glitches.

    Thank you.

Ismael, thank you. I apologize if i came across as pushy.

What’s crazy is that I would have swore that I tried this exact line of code.

    Again, thank you. it worked.

Guys, I think you overlooked me ;-(

I know this is an easy one for ya.

Ismael, . . . I would buy you a beer right now if i saw you. ;-) That did the trick my friend. Usually I’m concerned with what the issue was, but I’m just happy it’s fixed because i lost a whole day trying to figure this out.

    You’re awesome! (RESOLVED)

    Cheers!

I’m trying to have my post images (which are the full-width 1210px x 423px) fit in the post without cropping – if this helps.

This is driving me to the point of insanity. I have followed all instructions except using the “regenerate image” plugin. I don’t need to use the plugin if I delete and reupload the images correct?

in reply to: * Portfolio & Blog featured images cropping #135456

Thanks for the response Ismael, but I have tried every combination I can think of, including the steps above. I’m losing my mind. I’ll keep messing with it. I usually get it at some point.
