Thanks for your email. It is working now because I have turned off the CDN. So Victoria was right I guess when she said it was the CDN headers. However, I am not sure how to edit them or how to get someone else to do it. If you have any ideas I would be grateful.

I would have thought the Go Daddy CDN would have been pretty standard/generic. There must be hundreds of people who use this theme and also host on Go Daddy. I guess I will have to find another theme or solution. Thanks anyway.
As I said, not sure what “CDN appropriate headers” are. So I turned the CDN off and the site worked. So does this theme not work with CDNs?
Thanks Victoria. I understand the icons come from a different server. I am not sure what you mean by checking the headers that are being served. I host with GoDaddy on a managed WordPress site and use their CDN.
Sorry to bore everyone but I have the same problem – all my icons are missing. I had this problem previously and fixed it with the CSS icon fix code. Unfortunately it has returned. I have updated WordPress and the theme – 5.4.1 and 4.7.5 respectively. I have removed the old CSS as thread states new theme version does not require the fix. I added the suggested code to the htacccess file at previous fix. Not sure what else to do. All I get are rectangles!
