  • Hi Nikko,
    thanks a lot!
Your advise seems to be the right way, I will follow your hint.

Do you have any idea what could be the reason for that issue?

    Best regards

    Hi,
sorry for the delay – it was not easy to “catch” my client hunting for the token envato-key …
Now we have the latest Enfold version and the out-of-wrap issue is fixed. Thank you, Ygit, for this hint.

In my main problem with this appointment tool and the problem with embedding Javascript without getting an error, there is hope …
After a disappointing response from the Lemniscus company (“We can not help, please ask WordPress”), I tried something I should have done before: I searched for and found a Lemniscus plugin that I’m trying now!
    I’ll contact you here!

    Kind regards

    Hi,
the script should allow visitors to make an appointment with the beautician/site-owner.
I got it from the provider “lemniscus” who developed that tool. I got the script from an explanation page, where is explained how to integrate the script on the page.
Because you, Ismael, have received an error through this script, for me it is the right time to get in contact with lemniscus to get clear information, how to implement the tool. I will report here.

Unfortunately, the site shows an error that still exists even though I removed the script from the head of the page: all photos previously placed in a 2/5 column (next to text in a 3/5 column) ) are now under the text and are very large (more like 5/5). The text also behaves as if it were in a 1/1-column.
It is noticeable that the layout in the backend is still displayed in the correct layout, but not in the frontend.
Can you help to undo this misrepresentation?

    Best regards

    Hi Vinay,
    your script gives this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’, expecting end of file in /homepages/10/d788490951/htdocs/cms/wp-content/plugins/header-footer/plugin.php(159) : eval()’d code on line 14

    Hi Vinay,
I included the site-name in the private data field of my first post on this site.
You will find it again below and as well again the admin-access.

    Hi Victoria,
    thanks for answering.
I had this code in a text-block, in the text-hemisphere, which I thought must work.
Now, after including the code in a code block, there is still nothing displayed.

What is important as well – sorry, I forgot – with this line, the booking-tool should be displayed:

    <div id=”pss” style=”margin: 30px auto;” ></div>

    Hey Marketingnr1,
    thank you for your help.
This works – with a new plugin the code is in the <head> now.
Unfortunately the termin service tool does not appear as it should.

So I am looking for further help.

in reply to: Google-Map-Problem: Too many requests at once… #1107230

    Hi Ismael,
that was a very good hint. On the hand the Geocoding API had a setting of 5000 requests in 100 seconds, but only one(!!!) access per day.
And the project was not linked to the page owner’s billing account. Unfortunately I have not noticed this before, although we had checked bank details, credit card and validity. Can you give me a hint, how to check that easily in future?

Ismael, now the problem is solved, the map is displayed well.
    Thank you for your help!

    Hello Ismael,
thanks for your tip. The dev.Subdomain is now listed as an http-referral-URL (see below in the “Private Content” field) and the key is not restricted.
Unfortunately, this did not improve the appearance of the Google Map. And also again there is no connection possible. Even turning off all of the used plugins did not help.

For your request: I understand your arguments and did not intend to distort the thread issue. Since the wrong behavior of the full-width menu happened exactly the same time as my Google Map issues, I suspected a possible connection and therefore described it here.
Of course, I will – as desired – thus open a new thread.

…and I just saw, that the fullwidth sticky sub menu is not sticky anymore even though the sticky option is selected.

I use this sub menu parallel to the burger menu. Because this did not worked togehter well on another site, here I’m already following some advice from Mike to comment out a setting in menu.js if you want to use the sub menu and burger menu at the same time (see post #1065428). And until now is worked fine.

    Cheers

    Hi Rikard,
thank you for the good tip to bring Enfold up to date – I should have done that myself automatically. Version 4.5.7 is now active.
After inserting the new Private Token Key, I was able to display the coordinates of latitude and longitude in the Google Maps module and the map appaered in the frontend – but after a moment also a usage notice and an OK button…
On the Google Services page at Enfold, I checked the Google API key to see if it is still working – unfortunately it does not!
“This API key did not connect to Google Maps.”

I am completely unclear why the Google key suddenly no longer connects, after I’ve improved the situation by the enfold update publicly crucial.

In the private conent area you find the credentials of the site, so that you are able to take a closer look, if you want to.

    Hi,
    i think, I got it!
I was wondering, why the excerpt and the excerpt with “read-more-link” were not displayed as well. So the mistake has not to do with “one option” it has to do with “every option”. So I took a look on the two posts I wanted to display and I found out, that the complete content was shown on the mainpage, when I built the post with the classic layout editor. After again I used the advanced layout builder the presentation stopped again.

    Can you confirm that?

I fear that the reason for this behavior lies in the nature of blogs and posts and that only a reduced content can be displayed. But to be honest, it’s a pity not to be able using this cool Avia layout builder to design blog posts.

Or is there still a possibility? The hope dies last …. ;-)

    Hi Victoria,
    thank you for your reply.

But I still do not understand…
Enfold is giving me the option, to display the full content of a blog post – also in the newest version. Please see my screenshot: https://i.postimg.cc/prQhqc1Z/Kriesi-Support-Blog-entry-01.png.
Why should Enfold make this offer – when it does not work?
And – i did it already on another enfold-page! As you can see here, the full text is shown. https://i.postimg.cc/DfCKbPZk/Kriesi-Support-Blog-entry-02.png
This is a real contradiction for me. Or what do I not understand?

    Hi there,
    sorry for the delay!

Unfortunately, even now – in the meanwhile I have got the token key and installed version 4.5.6 – the blog posts are displayed only with an excerpt, but not completely.

I hope, that you can you do something!

    Hi Mike,
nice to “read” from you! ;-)

You’re right I have not installed the latest enfold version.
Please give me a little time to arrange that with my customer, hunting for the token key….
After I get this, I will give a quick response.

    Hi Victoria,
first of all thanks for your quick answer.
    I’m a bit surprised, maybe there is a misunderstanding…
It’s certainly not ideal that I use the German WordPress / Enfold version, but in my backend the used Avia module is called “Blog Beiträge” – I hope we mean the same thing.

In this tool, I can select under the option “Blog Inhaltslänge”, wich means “content length” three different options. I can choose if I want
    – to display the complete content
    – a text excerpt or
    – a text excerpt with a read-more link.
    (Please see screenshot 01: https://i.postimg.cc/prQhqc1Z/Kriesi-Support-Blog-entry-01.png).
In the sub-line (or caption) of “Blog Inhaltslänge” i can read: Should the complete entry should be displayed or only a small excerpt from the text?
If I understand your statement correctly, then there is a contradiction here.

I’ve already built the wanted effect on another page (see screenshot 02: https://i.postimg.cc/DfCKbPZk/Kriesi-Support-Blog-entry-02.png). There, the entire text of the deposited article is displayed within the module “Blog Posts”.
I compared the settings on this other page with the current settings and I’m pretty sure they’re the same (if I did not miss anything).

But something I must have done wrong!
    Can you help me?

    Best regards

Hi, Basilis, that’s understandable, thank you anyway.

Since I have not received spam mails via the contact form, the enfold update seems to have been the decisive step.
Thanks for this small but valuable hint!

    Hi Victoria, hi Rikard,
I receive daily a message from my provider as a service regarding the spam mails. In the early morning I received the latest news: Unfortunately, I still get new spam via the contact form.
Meanwhile, my site had 24,660 blocked bad login attempts.

It seems that the problem is not solved yet.
I hope you still have an idea.

    Hey Rikard,
that’s a good hint! I should have had this idea by myself.
So, it is updatet now – Enfold 4.5.5 – and I start to watch, what happens…

    Thank you so far.
    Kind regards
    Grobi
