July 25, 2014 at 2:57 pm in reply to: Background Image loading late issue when scrolling on mobile devices #295967Hi Yigit, tested my connection and am on 50Mb +
The problem seems to be caused by the background scrolling on Mobile devices rather than remaining fixed.
On a desktop the background is remaining fixed with the content scrolling above it but on a mobile the background it is attempting to scroll with the contentHi Ralph, worked perfectly. Thank you.
Do you have a section where I can suggest an update if the Social icons and phone number are arranged perfectly centred one above the other can the Logo and menu stack the same with a button that says “Menu” replacing the menu iconJuly 25, 2014 at 12:39 pm in reply to: Background Image loading late issue when scrolling on mobile devices #295899It is happening on my Samsung Galaxy 3 Tab 10inch and Samsung Galaxy S2 phone
July 25, 2014 at 12:37 pm in reply to: Background Image loading late issue when scrolling on mobile devices #295898Hi Yigit, I already have that plugin activated and caching plugin etc.
The background is loading but the problem is that as you scroll the white background appears first and then the background image loads on top block by block which completely distracts the visitor and this keeps happening as you move down the page.
On the desktop there is no such problem, the background image loads immediately and stays fixed as the content scrolls over it.Hi Yigit, just applied that, it made the Logo smaller, it is now lining up to the right of centre and the Menu button still overlapped it so I changed the % until I got to 70% and now it is reduced to that size and the menu button is not overlapping it.
This is not a good fix though as the Logo is now smaller and the menu button is twice it height.
The Logo and menu button are not in line.
In landscape mode on the phone the Logo is now randomly lining up to the left rather than centre.If the Social icons and phone number are arranged perfectly above them why can’t the Logo and menu be the same with a button that says “Menu” as not everyone knows what the menu icon means
display: inline-block;Hi Ralph,
I went to that thread and did exactly what it said.
I added the first piece of code, didn’t work, added the second piece, didn’t work, took away the first piece and left the second piece, didn’t work, all it did was make the Logo smaller and the menu icon still overlapped it.
Why can’t the menu item just display underneath the logo with a button that says “Menu” like loads of other themes do?You gave me this code that solved it like that for the Phone number info. to display and centre underneath the social media icons.
.phone-info span {
padding: 0px 0px;
margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
display: inline-block;
}At the moment the Logo which is centred on the desktop and tablet displays goes off the screen after the “B” in Web on mobile in portrait view (am using Samsung Galaxy S3) with the menu icon obscuring the “W”

Hi Josue,
that fixed it, opens in Lightbox with W3 enabled!
Problem is that is in the Enfold Theme file so when I update it to the next version will I have to manually amend line 801 every time and also for new installs of the theme?
Hi, I just disabled all my plugins.
Lightbox working.
I then activated only the W3 plugin and Lightbox stopped working so i know it is W3 is causing it.
Is there any way Josue that you can send me the settings you have on your W3 or do you have them just set to the default?
I want to fix this as I don’t want to have to go researching Lightbox plugins and adding more weight to the site.Hi Josue, tried that, no change
As it is such a popular plugin this must effect a lot of Enfold sites
Is there somewhere on Themeforest to access the previous theme versions?
Hi Yigit,
the 2.9.1 theme upgrade did not change the Light box issue so I starting turning off the plugins.
W3 Total Cache was causing the conflict.
So what are my options, I obviously want to have the Cache plugin as it speeds up the site but I also want the Lightbox to work.Hi Yigit,
where is 2.9.1 ?
the latest version on Themeforest is 2.9 which is what I have installed last WednesdayHi Josue, I am using
W3 Total Cache
Better WordPress Minify
Wordfence SecurityHi, I got to the bottom of it.
If you are looking for what is causing the massive file size just install the Duplicator plugin and run a scan.
It will come back with the total size of your site, and also when you click into the data it will tell you the path to the files that are over 4Mb in size.
Then Ftp in and find the files by following the paths.
One culprit can be Duplicator itself which creates a folder called WP-Snapshots that stores the copy of your website if you have used Duplicator on it before like I did when I had the dummy data imported.
It could also be an error_logs file generated by your Servers PHP which you can analyse to fix the errors or just delete
You can now close this thread, thanksHi Josue, how do I do that?
In the media section I open the image to Edit and the file Url already is Url Removed by GOWD

Hi Yigit, there is no Trash option on the Pages as I have deleted everything permanently.
I ran the Duplicator plugin and it said that the site is 3.6Gb in size
If I could find the file where the deleted dummy data is stored I could delete it by FtpHi Yigit, I updated the theme and now using the special headings colour settings works!
Thanks for all your help, you may close this threadHi Yigit,
thank you, that has now worked and I have styled all eight headings and four buttons.
It is a workaround obviously, I am more concerned with why changing the colour in the Special Heading settings does not work but for the button it does?
Is it because in advanced styling settings I have #84559e set as the colour for h1 – h6 and this is over riding the setting in special heading?Hi Yigit, perfect, you may close this thread, thanks
Hi Yigit, that worked perfectly, you may close this thread, thank you
Hi Yigit, thanks for the fast reply.
Unfortunately while that does work it changes all the headings in that div and I want the headings in each column to be the same colour but a different colour to the headings in the column beside them.Hi Josue, thanks for your reply, that code removes the slider completely on a smartphone, what I want to know is can I keep the slider but remove the navigational overlays when displayed on a screen less than 480px?
Hi Yigit, I contacted them, they told me to change a setting on the hosting to Shared Hosting PHP 5.3.3 and now everything works.
Thread resolved, thanksPerfect, thanks, thread resolved
Thanks Ismael,
previous code from Flikk was missing the letter p in !important after background color
Thread resolvedThanks Ismael, you can close the thread
Hi Ismael, I updated the theme but no change to the problem, still cannot remove the sidebar from the Blog page
Hi Ismael, your code was fine, the issue was actually being caused by the permissions on the themes generated css file:
http://agathosfinancial.ie/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/enfold.css
That file must be publicly viewable for the theme styling to load.
Your colleague Devin notified me of the issue.
Thanks for your help, you may now mark this thread as resolved -
