I will certainly look to use a Child theme going forward. But, in this instance is there a way I can update to the new version of Enfold without screwing up my site/s?
May 4, 2018 at 2:27 pm in reply to: Add Search Icon next to Burger Menu on Tablet and Mobile #951687Hi Rikard,
Unfortunately, that didn’t work. That was the first place I looked originally. I’m aiming to see the Search Icon (magnifying glass) next to the Burger Menu Icon on both mobile and tablet. I’ve tried a few fixes that I’ve found in the Support forum, however, none worked for me.
Please help :)
Many thanks,
SteveHey,
I’m using the full version of Enfold and have multiple client sites to update to utilize the new version of Enfold.
I’ve just restored the site and its database for this particular site: http://bourtonfarmedfoods.co.uk and its database. So I’m back to square one.I would like someone to investigate the following:
1. Why am I not seeing the latest update of Enfold within the WP Dashboard? (This is an issue for all my theme installs)
2. Why am I unable to update the theme manually via FTP?Please find my FTP login credentials attached. Thank you for your help in advance :)
Many thanks,

I have tried flushing my permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks and switching to default and saving changes. Then switching back and saving changes.
I would give you access and login details, however, the site is being developed in such a way that in order to view it you’d need to edit your browser hosts file to force your browser to see the site under development, rather than the existing site.
I can give you FTP access if that’s any use?
That’s great! The temporary workaround has fixed the issue.
Thank you for your help with both of the above issues today.
Is it something I did wrong to cause these issues? Or is it a common issue with the latest version of Enfold 4.2.5
Thought it might fix my other site. However, it doesn’t..?
Perfect. All working and looking fine my end.
What was the solution?
I have more Enold sites to update and don’t want to encounter the same issue.
Also, need help getting http://www.goodink.uk fixing too.
I spoke too soon. I noticed the site was up and running, now down again..? Hmmm
Nikko, you’re amazing! The site is now back up and running. What was the cause of the issue?
I also have the same issue with my own site at http://www.goodink.uk after enfold update.
WP Admin + FTP logins supplied privately.
Yes, please feel free to check some more.
Failing that, are you able to provide me with an earlier version of Enfold so that I can downgrade?
Will a simple downgrade to an earlier version of Enfold fix this issue?
Are you able to connect via FTP once more?
I noticed the same 530 error too, as I was also logged in to FileZilla at the same time as you. Are you able to investigate again now that I have Quit the FileZilla application?
A little earlier today, I renamed the original Enfold theme folder to ‘enfold-original’ and then uploaded a fresh version of Enfold 4.2.5 to see if that solved the issue. I have now changed the name back to enfold and still have the issue.
Please help resolve.
The second client I mentioned is, in fact, my own site at http://www.goodink.uk
But let’s deal with the first client for now.
Thanks Nikko, much appreciated.
Great theme and support to match. I’ve been using Enfold for a long time now. This is my first real issue.
Hello, this has now occurred on another client’s websites after updating from version 4.2 to 4.2.5
Please help ASAP!
