  • in reply to: wrong main content position when using sticky header #864306

I cleaned the caches and desactivated the plugins but still have the same issue.
I also tried to switch to the Enfold theme (and not my child theme) on my local website copy, and the issue is also there, so that does not come from my css or functions.
    Anything else I can check?

in reply to: wrong main content position when using sticky header #864289

    Hi Mike,

the issue is not on a single page, it’s on all the website pages.
So I added that css :

    @media only screen and (max-width: 766px) { .avia-builder-el-2 {padding-top: 0px!important; margin-top: -40px!important; }}
    @media only screen and (min-width: 767px) and (max-width: 999px) { .page .avia-builder-el-2 {padding-top: 60px!important;}}

That works on the “faq” and “support” pages, but it won’t work on all pages (try the ‘downloads’ page for example).
Is there any single css trick that could work on all pages?
I guess the best would be to resolve the cause of the issue, that must come from a bad header size calculation somewhere I guess.

    Hi Rikard,

that’s weird, I had this issue many many times yesterday, and I was able to reproduce easily..
But today it’s all working fine and I can’t reproduce anymore! So it was probably just a weird temporary cache bug.
I’ll bump if that shows up again, but hopefully it won’t hapen.

    thanks!

ah! it’s when I ask that I found the solution! :)
(I simply had a wrong setting in the “main menu” options)

you can close this thread! sorry for the noise!

in reply to: Color Section Won't End #860321

    Hi Ismael,

If I remove everything from the page (using the advanced layout editor as I always do), and then add just a single colour section (without anything in it), I have the same issue!

The weird thing is that if I save the page as template, create a new page, and load that template in the new page, then that new page is perfectly fine, without any problem.
Both the buggy/normal pages have the same page attributes/layout settings, and I don’t have anything specific to the buggy page in my css, so I’m really not sure what’s the issue!

I hate bugs like that that I can’t reproduce easily :)

Do you have any idea about something else I could check?

in reply to: Color Section Won't End #859617

You can see that the footer is different on that page than on the others. The reason is that it has the wrong css applied because the colour section misses some </div>, so the footer is included in the wrong section

in reply to: Color Section Won't End #859166

Just to say I have exactly the same issue as RRaker ( https://kriesi.at/support/topic/color-section-wont-end/#post-546227 ) :
Sometimes the colour section won’t end (cf link in private content section – note that the issue is on the french version, you might have to switch at the top), and I also have the issue if I remove all the content and just have an empty colour section.
A workaround I found is to add an empty tab section (just 1 tab, with an empty name ” ” ) after the colour section (cf the english version of the same page).
I sometimes also have some weird spacing that I suspect to be due to related (cd the space after the “presentation” section in the french page).

I still haven’t find a way to reproduce all that with a band “new page” though.
I can’t give you the login credentials, but if you have an idea of what can be wrong let me know!

    same issue here

yes, you can close the topic. Thank you Rikard and Sarah

in reply to: Warning: session_start() #837937

    yes, configure-smtp was the culprit.
I’m now using that updated version and don’t have warnings anymore: https://github.com/gondre/configure-smtp

    thanks!

in reply to: Contact form not taking "subject" correctly #837343

Just to follow-up in case anyone bump into the same issue, the solution given in this thread :

    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/email-subject-from-contact-form-subject/

in reply to: Contact form not taking "subject" correctly #585667

Sorry I can’t do that. But if you can’t reproduce (can you or not?) I strongly suspect an issue with WPML and the translation of the “subject” element. I think that before this was working only on the english page, not on the french translation.

But actually the contact-form documentation says :

    E-Mail Subject
You can define a custom Email Subject for your form here. If left empty the subject will be: New Message (sent by contact form at Tritik)

So why was it working at all at first? where is the “subject” element supposed to be used for that in the code?

in reply to: Contact form not taking "subject" correctly #584398

yes, I got a child theme with enfold 3.4.7 and wordpress 4.4.2.

in reply to: bug in with index.php ? #497210

    Just to be sure :
you are saying that there’s no way for you to show a blank page instead of exposing the folder hierarchy if one goes to this index.php?
And I should I consider that by using enfold, everyone can know my server folders hierarchy just by entering that obvious url in any browser?

    Hi Elliott,
you did not get the point I think.

What I’m saying is that there is a bug that you guys should fix!
It is NOT normal that pointing on any enfold installation lead to an error being display (moreover when this error give some information that can be useful to hackers).
index.php should display a blank page. not a bug information!

about disabling directory browsing : of course it’s something enfold’s users can do. but perhaps you could add some blank index.php in there, so that it won’t be displaying anything by default.

    Hi Rikard,

Actually you can take a look at it on your own demos :

    looking forward

    thanks

in reply to: how to get all the last posts on a single page #273562

ok, this is weird, I just edited my footer first column text and did ‘save’, and now all the posts are on the page!
    good… though I don’t get what happened :)
