Good thought. It actually turned out to be a problem based on the fact that I had the “get-news” page set as the blog page in the Enfold Theme Options. When I changed that to a different page, the layout turned back to the way I specified in the Blog Post element.

That pulled the logo down into the whitespace, but also distorted the image…

Great suggestion–will that allow me to put a different header image on certain pages, or just customize the menu setup?

Wow, you are fast! That made the menu items shift to the left side and the search box to the right side, but I need the solid dark brown color to fill in the line in between (or have the menu items centered with the sold brown on either side to the edge of the screen.)
