I am back online with three sites on the latest Enfold and footer showing. I had to make a new child theme and copied only the things that I use actually. There was a lot of stuff that was not necessary anymore.
@Rene759: Use a plugin to make that child theme and export/import the theme settings from the old child to the new one.@Rene759 – I see. Too bad.
I can state that when I switch to the parent theme Enfold, the footer is back. But there is nothing special about my child themes … so I have no idea why this happens.Hi,

This topic can be closed. Thanks to Mike’s comprehensive answer, I was able to isolate and fix the problem.

You are right.
It is the Phastpress plugin, and there the settings “Optimize CSS” and “Load Scripts asynchronously,” which caused the effect.

How can I show the full title here?
I see that the title is cut here, so the … is already within the Html.Can you help me here?

Is there a chance to get the title text after the <br> shown on the .avia-post-nav field?
I also looked for missing closing tags but only found some spaces after the <br> that also made it weird.Thanks Mike,
I didn’t try to copy the whole file into functions.php of the child theme. If there is no other way to do this, the case can be closed.Thanks a lot!

Should I really copy that whole file into functions.php ? And I guess I will have to change it on updates too. Umm. Maybe I stay with the mod of helper-markup.php …Ah sorry,
my fault. I had to install a backup. So my mods of this morning were gone before you could read it.Now it is again with your code in functions.php instead the modification of helper-markup.php.
