Never mind, I had to get some help from somewhere else but I now found out how to add it.
For anyone else having the same problem, i had to add a widget area to my other page and then add the enfold Google maps widget under customize widgets and set it to display everywhere. I then had to remove the map widget from the sidebar settings (that came with the demo) so that I would not have 2 maps showing up in the side bar
No the one i added using the Google map option in media elements does not work the same way as the one in the demo.
As I previously posted, if you go to my site and go to the Contact menu item (page) you will see a map at the top of the page. This map looks nothing like the map (under the Route section) on the sidebar on all of the nested pages…. Please look at the concrete Info page under the Concrete help & info menu item to see the map from the demo that I want to use in other places.
The map in the side bar of the concrete Info page (the map that is actually from the demo), how do I add this to other areas of my pages…. Other areas besides the sidebar?
On my site, if you go to the Interior Design page under Concrete Help & Info you will see the maps feature that I want to use in other pages on my site (it is in the sidebar on the left side of the screen under the Route section). There is only one google map option under the Media Elements on the pages that is available for me to add to my pages and when I add it, it does not look or work like the other google map that is in the side bar of the nested pages. You can see the one I added on the Contact page of my site
This is closer but not all of the original styles from the construction theme demo are there (it looks like it is still taking the styles from the enfold default demo and not the enfold construction demo). I have included a link to my site as well as a link to the construction demo site so you can see what I am talking about. For example these are some of the missing things now in my site with the child demo after I imported the parent theme….
- in the footer, the lines above and below the headings in each of the four columns are not shown
- the font size is smaller in my site
- the font text is different
- if you go to a page under the Services tab and the sidebar on that page has lines above the headings in each section in the demo site but no longer has it in my site (see Interior Design page for example)
- the menu bar color is not the same (I had made some changes in this in the child theme to try and match the construction demo and it looks like it maybe kept my background color choice)
How do I make it take the enfold Construction demo theme as the parent theme and not the enfold Default demo theme?
