Guys,
I just need to know where your theme references the Child theme. Right now if the child theme name is different, it breaks your Avia page builder. This never happened before and its an issue with the new version. PLEASE help me change this so it doesn;t happen to others.
Thanks,
Leyden
Actually,
A lot of my themes have the name changed for client purposes. But the part that reads the parent theme remains the same. This worked fine on older versions, not sure why you all decided to change it.
Thanks,
Leyden
Okay, I figured out the problem. The issue is because the Child Theme Name is different from the original Child Theme name. I changed it from Enfold Child to the client’s name. When I change it back to Enfold Child the page builder works fine. However, it breaks the front-end. All the changes made to the theme options are gone. All this was working just fine even with the Child Theme having a different name untill I updated the theme.
So what can we do? It the loading of the child theme. Can you all change this?
Thanks,
Leyden
Hi there,
I have found an issue between the new Enfold Theme and the Enfold Child Theme. Can you all have a look?
Hi Ismael,
I did not make any changes to the child theme that I hadn’t done before. Mostly the addition of new custom post types to work with the page builder.
I can give you FTP access so you can check out the child theme.
I fixed these files and nothing. It’s still broken.
Any news on this? I have also found after upgrading woocommerce to the latest version that there are a few outdated template files. Could this have anything to do with it?
Could it be an issue with the child theme?
Hi guys,
I also tried editing a section and it works, so I can edit the page builder text section but can’t add anything new or build a new page because of the missing menus.
Hi Guys,
I’m really at a loss here. I replaced the Enfold theme folder with a fresh download from Themeforest and still having this issue. Still no page builder controls, only the content shows. When I try adding a new page, the does not show the page builder button.
Thanks,
Leyden
Turned plug-ins off one by one and it still not showing up. What’s strange is that the boxes with content are still there and I can launch them to edit them. Has anything like this happened recently?
Thanks,
LeydenNot working. I have sent along the user login info.
Thanks for looking into this all, I reloaded the page and now it’s all working fine.
Thanks,
Leyden
Here is a page where it works once it’s changed to scroll: http://thetriad.org.uk/exhibition/enid-amir-enough-about-you-at-the-maxxi/
Here is a page where it does not work with the Parallax setting: http://thetriad.org.uk/exhibition/enid-amir-enough-about-you-at-the-triad-gallery/
It appears to be a bug with the Color Section Parallax setting. When I switch from Parallax to Scroll the image is back. When I return to Parallax, it disappears again.
Hi there,
When I try editing the mobile menu option I get this message: “These options are only available if you select a layout that has a main menu positioned at the top. You currently have your main menu placed in a sidebar”
How can I set the “Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items” with the Side Bar menu?
Thanks
Hi all,
I’m bringing up another issue with making simple design changes on the mobile version using the child theme. Something as simple as changing the slider title size can’t be done without changing the shortcode.css file.
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) and (min-width: 480px) .responsive #top .slideshow_caption h2 { font-size: 20px !important; }
Since the code above has an “!important” value, I can’t make the changes in the child theme. Something to consider.
There are two websites I’m currently working on. The first is dialoguesincubanart.org which I made the changes needed for mobile on the actual theme since the child theme changes did not work. And now I’m working on http://alliemunroe.flywheelsites.com/ where I can’t make the change to the slider title.
I would be great to have these child theme issues resolved to better streamline any future updates to the theme. I think you all have a solid theme with Enfold and these small improvements would make it even better.
Thanks!
Hi there,
Here is the simple css:
#mobile-advanced, #mobile-advanced a, #mobile-advanced .mega_menu_title { color: #808080; border-color: #e6e6e6; text-transform: uppercase; }
I wanted to make a few changes. They don’t seem to work.
I wanted to remove the scale movement of the mobile nav. Change to uppercase and bold. It’s also difficult to change the icons for the menu and to close the menu.
Hi there,
I tried that and got no results. So for now I made the change directly on the original theme files, but I don’t like it. :)
Hi all,
This seems to work just fine. Thank you Ismael!
Thanks Ismael! I’ll let you know how this works for me when I implement it.
This looks good to shortcodes, but does it work for the Avia page builder?
Maybe replacing:
array_unshift($paths, $template_url.’/shortcodes/’);
with
array_unshift($paths, $template_url.’/meta/’);
Then creating the folder structure (/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/config/meta.php) in child theme?I’m wondering the same thing. What’s the response to this? I don’t want to keep making changes to the core files after every theme update.

Got it. Thanks!!
Hi and thanks for responding so soon. I’m editing the main theme, but I can’t seem to find where the icon values for the mobile nav are. Can you direct me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Leyden
Already added to custom.css and it doesn’t work. I’m using Gotham through cloud.typography.com.
