Really?! I thought a top-bottom or left-right would be pretty basic! I would have expected it the other way around i.e. to have the top right to bottom left some sort of premium feature.
Anyways, may I suggest you consider adding top-down or left-right as an option in your future releases. I think it will be much more popular than the current sliding behaviour!
