All solved!
Hi Ismael,
thanks – that`s a great help!HI Ismael,
thanks for your help:
the images have no transparent sides – they are really 120px right to the edge.
Therefore I tried to use your code – but without success.I tried to modify the overlay itself:
I can see that the span.image-overlay has the following element-style.element.style {
display: block;
height: 140px;
left: 97.4667px;
overflow: hidden;
top: 0;
width: 130px;
}I have no idea where it gets its height and width from. If I force the height and the width to be 120px the overlay is no longer centered on the image but has a set off.
Any thoughts? thanks
Hi Vinnie,
I´m pointing out that the overlay does not fit – therefore I would like to have it fitting :)
The image overlay should fit the image exactly in sizethanks for your help
Hi Ismael,
thanks for your help -I´m not sure if is the number of menu-items – it hasn`t crashed ever since – I will start worrying again and try your settings if it crashes again – (hopefully not)HI Ismael,
thanks for your help – I will try.Hi Rikard,
Yes, I could recreate it and I hope it will not crash again. The only thing which could have caused the havoc I can think of is that I used some links in the menu and specified the link address as “www.example.com/#” ( I had to use the link as a subtitle in the menu – therefore a real address was not needed) – not sure if wp likes the # as an URL in the mneu. But this is just bad guessing.thanks
Hi Ismael,
thanks for your reply – we still use fabsections – not only sliders. I understand what you are saying about the “cover” css property. Is there a way to provide better suited / cropped images as a farbsection-background-image via media-queries for mobile devices?thanks a lot
Hi Rikard,
thanks for your help – I deactivated the plugins to see any conflict – could not find anything. I recreated the menu and hope for now that it is not going to crash on a regular basis, since I`m totally clueless why this happens.
Hi Yigit,
thanks for your help – this solved it for mesorry – you are an admin now
thanksHi Elliott,
thanks for your help – actually it is neither a category nor a parent page but rather a text-link for the mega-menu (go to the mega-menu on “Ausbildung in the main navi) which got disabled by css to be clickable.
Pls see the login details belowthanks a lot
Hi Yigit,
thanks for your help – the code does not really get us there (yet) – have a lookI have to set the excerpt lenght of the blogs manually – but at the same time the post-slider on the homepage should ignore this (manual excerpt) setting and give me a fixed specific number of characters instead

Hi Rikard,

True, if I adjust the value 55 to 40 it looks good on smartphone.
Still the background-image (fallback image) does not resize – or is there a specific measure for the fall back image.
